The time is now 6:30a, Sunday JST. ;)

Let's Play!
Team captains, you may now draw a card and get your team on the board. This week, each team will move on the board. From this week forward, however, in order for your team to move forward, all members must have read, rated and reviewed their book by this time (give or take) next week.

Happy Reading, ladies!

I'm around 75 % with my book Dance With Me and I'm absolutely loving it . Though I really don't understand why my reading speed is so slow with this book :/.

Paris (pah13) | 1183 comments Week 1: Black joker : Fantasy Forward Skull :Spot 32 : Free Read !

Prized (Birthmarked, #2) by Caragh M. O'Brien by Caragh M. O'Brien
Finished: 1/29/2013
Rating: ♥♥♥♥

The first book was difficult to get into right away; thankfully this book did not suffer from the same problem. I was immediately enthralled by Gaia’s new situation and like I do with every dystopian/post-apocalyptic books I read, I tried to think about how I would handle things if I were in her shoes. I don’t think I’d be able to do what she did at any point in this book. I don’t think I’m strong enough to live in this world…although I guess you don’t really know how strong you are until put in situations, but I’m pretty sure my ass would have been sent packing or killed within a day.

I couldn’t wait to see Leon again and was so glad that it didn’t take long, although in the meantime the possibility of a love triangle or even a love square was thrown in there. I can’t wait to see how things are wrapped up in the final book. I’m glad that I didn’t read these books when they came out because the long wait between books is never easy for me. I’m not a patient person, which is probably another thing that would get me killed in one of these dystopian worlds.

Paris (pah13) | 1183 comments I loved my book. I'm so glad I started reading this series.

Sorry you aren't enjoying Outpost (Razorland, #2) by Ann Aguirre Regina. I love that series.

Glad you're liking your book Karen. Sometimes that happens to me too. Even though I'm enjoying a book I still can't seem to read it as fast as I do other books.

message 94: by Regina (last edited Jan 29, 2013 01:51PM) (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Oh I am enjoying it, just not loving it. :) I would say right now it is 3.5 stars. Which is not bad at all. :) I am about 30% in. I like that the (view spoiler)

message 95: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 1183 comments I gave it 4 stars and was a little bored in the beginning. The rest though picks up a lot. I liked what you mentioned in your spoiler as well.

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) | 473 comments I am a little over half way. Had a PTO project to get done yesterday and a Girl Scout meeting to prepare for today... and I may have picked up another book that I got sucked into. But now I have nothing planned after dinner except to finish my book for this challenge. We'll see if the kids cooprate.

I'm glad to see you enjoyed that one, Paris. I really liked the first and have 1.5-3 TBR.
