this book is about a this girl who goes to this man to help her learn to sword fight, it is a historical romance, the teaches her, they fall in love, the guy new her family, her father saved him when he got captured, he has a rose branded into his chest, i remember there was a scene where he goes to compete, another guy puts poison on the opponent blade to kill him, but the blade never touches him, the girl ends up killing the eviil man by faking that she didn't know how to fight, falls and sticks the blade into the evil man, when they go to find the evil man again he disappeared.

no this isn't it, in this book the woman comes looking for him, and it's three guys that got caught and labeled spies, the form sort of like an order to watch over the three daughters of the man that saved them.
