Positives: You are smarter, look at the world differently, believe in magic, and overall become awesome.
Negatives: Regular life appears boring and people uninteresting.
Negatives: Regular life appears boring and people uninteresting.

Negatives: If you become obsessed can take a toll on your physical and mental health. May not like reality and perfer to spend time "living" in your books instead of being with real people. May skip out on physical activities and become over weight or worst.
I dont think there is any problem with being an avid reader and someone who loves reading I obviously do or I wouldnt be on goodreads and blogs but its important to balance your life books can be as damaging as Video Games if taken to seriously.

I say I agree, and being OBSESSED with reading, can benefit A LOT!!!

couldn't agree more!

Positive: New vocabularies, rich imagination, knowing new things and stuff, good writing skills, have more friends (because of goodreads and tumblr) and become inspired.
Negative: Too much imagination, postponing school work, not going outside, too much fangirling and tumblr.

And how is it even possible to "read too much" in the first place?

Negative: You could become Elinor from Inkheart

Negative: You might find yourself wishing you were alone reading your book and not listening to your friend's stupid conversation (you know, the kind of friends who are show offs and are only interested in letting you know how cool they are and how much money they have.. you feel desperate because you know you are wasting precious reading time).

Most of the time there is no such thing as reading to much!

Haha, agreed! Though I think the positives are: You get a chance to escape from anything that is bothering you for awhile, you become smarter and learn new words you might not of heard of before, it can make you happy, and it enhances your creativity and imagination. :)
Negative is that reality is kinda dull next to books and you end of wishing for your late Hogwarts letter often. Oh, and the pain you experience from the attachment to fictional characters.

(That was some serious deepness from me, man)

negative: reality seems boring and if you're like me who reads when they shouldn't then you end up losing marks because you're reading instead oops
