Desini Snyder | 346 comments A lot of people said falling kingdoms by morgan rhodes, but i don't agree. The charecters in that book are without depth and it is hard to root for them.

message 102: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 182 comments I recently read and thoroughly enjoyed the Storm Siren Trilogy by Mary Weber. It shares some, but not many, similarities with ToG.

Storm Siren (Storm Siren, #1) by Mary Weber

message 103: by Lexie (new)

Lexie @Desini I just finished Falling Kingdoms and I think the characters are well developed and have a lot of depth. I really enjoyed, and it is quite like ToG with all the fantasy and battles and fighting.

message 104: by Sarah1861 (new)

Sarah1861 | 4 comments I would recommend half-blood by Jennifer L Armentrout (covenant series).

message 105: by EMMA ♡ (new)

EMMA ♡ (mellodius) I would recommend Truthwitch, by Susan Dennard. Did you know that Susan is actually bffs with Sarah? That's also funny because this book I find a lot like throne of glass!

message 106: by Kelli (new)

Kelli Shifflett | 1 comments Definitely need to read "Under different Stars" if you like this series!

message 107: by Christa (new)

Christa | 52 comments @ Kelli - Thanks for the recommendation for under the stars. I just started it thanks to you and I'm really enjoying it.

imashamedofmyoldreviews (pleasedontjudgeme_ichanged) The Lunar Chronicles is also similar and REALLY good.

.chel. (itschel) | 12 comments Thanks for recommending the Kricket series. I just finished it and I am completely heartbroken. Such a good series.

message 110: by Grace Meredith (new)

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) Actually, Emma, I wouldn't recommend Truthwitch. The plot is quite vague and boring, and there's almost no character development. But Six of Crows, although being less fantasy and more action/heist, is a wonderful book with a thrilling plot and intense characters. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

message 111: by Lexie (new)

Lexie @Grace Meredith I second that! Six of Crows is absolutely amazing! And Kaz is the most beautiful and complex character ever!

message 112: by Desini (new)

Desini Snyder | 346 comments Helnik forever.

message 113: by Grace Meredith (new)

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) Oh my god, yes. KAZZZZZZ. I can't wait for Crooked Kingdom.

message 114: by Lexie (new)

Lexie Me neither Grace! I need it right now! Isn't Kaz just the best!

message 115: by Jordan (new)

Jordan | 65 comments Yes! I need Crooked Kingdom! And Windwitch! And Wayfarer!

message 116: by Nora (new)

Nora (effervescentphilanthropist) Absolutely, without a doubt, bar-none, I would recommend the Queen of the Tearling trilogy if you like Throne of Glass. Not enough people I know are aware of this fantasy series, and it so freaking amazing.

It's got astoundingly strong female characters, very well done character development/interactions, very intricate worldbuilding with interesting components of science-fiction alongside its fantastical elements, and it's overall really gripping and intense.

It's "quieter" than Throne of Glass simply in a smaller amount of action sequences, but it makes up for that in extremely tension-filled socio-political dealings. And when it does get down to the action? OH MY GOD.

Just. just read it. I need more people to fan over this series with, lol. It's really wonderful. The final book in the series comes out in November.

message 117: by Lexie (new)

Lexie I plan to read it soon.

♥ Emily ♥ (emily_turtle) | 10 comments Ashley wrote: "Ok not sure why but The Winner's Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski kinda reminds me about Throne of Glass though I like Throne of Glass better :D."

Ooooh I love those books!

message 119: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 36 comments A Darker Shade of Magic kinda has the TOG feel. They're both amazing novels!!

message 120: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (unapologeticallya) | 62 comments Yesssss ADSOM series is the best!

message 121: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 36 comments Definetly!!! They're one of my favorite series now. I can't wait for A Conjuring of Light!!!

message 122: by Grace Meredith (new)

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) ADSOM FANGIRL RIGHT HERE. That book was fucking brilliant. Who's freaking out waiting for the next one?

Jo Jo Binks (Lily) | 177 comments Started a blog for reviews and stuff on tumblr if you guys wanna check it out. I'm called belowenofthewintercourt and the blog's called fangirlingontheinternet. Love this series

message 125: by Emi (new)

Emi Lingsan | 2 comments You must read Song of the Lioness quartet (by Tamora Pierce) and The Old Kingdom series (by Garth Nix). These were actually some of the inspirations of SJM (according to her during book signing)

message 126: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Howe (booksjessloves) | 25 comments Hey everyone,

I am currently reading Ruined by Amy Tintera (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...)

This book is okay so far (perfect for my Empire of Storms hangover!) It's a story with another kick-ass female lead called Em. Ruined has a similar vibe to Throne of Glass. Plus it's the start of a series (second book due next year) I am curious to see where it goes, although it hasn't hit me in the feels yet like Sarah J Maas' stories do!

message 127: by Jenna (new)

Jenna (jennabooks8) | 16 comments I think Queen of the Tearling and The Demon King are books/series that you might like if you like Sarah J Maas and her books

message 128: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 36 comments I just finished An Ember In The Ashes and OMG it was incredible!! All of you who are having Empire of Storms hangovers should read this now!!!

message 129: by Emma (new)

Emma Rilyn I absolutely loved And I Darken it was absolutely amazing and though The Throne of Glass series isn't that similar they both have bad-ass female leads. :) And I Darken (The Conquerors Saga #1) by Kiersten White

message 130: by Diane (new)

Diane (mystifiedswift) I do love the some of the series that you mentioned but I'd just like to say that the "Cinder" series is called The Lunar Chronicles and Game of Thrones is called A Song of Ice and Fire although everyone just refers to it as Game of Thrones.

message 131: by Κάτια (new)

Κάτια Κανδ. | 16 comments Ok guys I just finished the Seven Realms Series and I totally lived it!! I' s full of action and adventure but with the perfect amound of love - story kinda- thing. Just try it!!!!!

message 132: by Κάτια (new)

Κάτια Κανδ. | 16 comments Storybrook I meant * loved it*..

message 133: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 36 comments Yes Seven Realms is a great series. Anything that author writes is incredible. I would recommend it all. You should read the spinoff series The Shattered realms. The first book is called Flamecaster.

message 134: by Κάτια (new)

Κάτια Κανδ. | 16 comments Yeah but I'm kind of reluctant to try the Shattered Realms cause I read that it's TOO PAINFULL for those who loved the first series..

message 135: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 36 comments Flamecaster didn make me cry but it was still really good. It was worth it

Jo Jo Binks (Lily) | 177 comments Guys I've just started Red Queen and it seems line a good book, but I just can't help but get a serious Hunger Games vibe from it like a MAJOR one- I don't know if I like it or not but thanks for all the suggestions!

message 137: by Κάτια (new)

Κάτια Κανδ. | 16 comments Well Red Queen IS kind of evolution- fricking-different-future-story but the plot is just worth it. You are going yo like the best book even more..

message 138: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 36 comments I didn't enjoy Glass Sword as much as I enjoyed Red queen. I think it was just way too long for me and there wasn't much going on in the plot. Hopefully King's Cage Will be better.

message 139: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Menard (maddymenard) | 2 comments If you likes TOG or the ACOTAr series, I highly recommend the Remnant Chronicles series! I love it so much! Here is the link to the website if anyone is interested: http://remnantchronicles.com

Laura✧˚ · . (shelby_) | 132 comments When I've finished acomaf I didn't know what book should I pick up the next. I read TMI and TID and honestly I really liked them so I would recommend this series if you haven't read them yet. Also I read vampire academy which is one of my favourite series of all time and I revenderlo finished eleanor and park

message 141: by Mirael (new)

Mirael Read The Grisha trilogy and the Six of Crows duology. It's amazing.

message 142: by a (new)

a | 2 comments It's more of a Sci-fi read but I love the lunar chronicles and it was the first book I read after being in a pit of despair from realizing the wait for acowar or the next tog

Maryanne Lewis | 8 comments Booknut wrote: "Shadow and Bone (The Grisha #1) by Leigh Bardugo is very similar and I loved it to bits. I would highly recommend it! http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10......"
Yes! oh my goodness I loved that series! And if you liked that, you should try 'Six of Crows'. It's set in the same universe, but like 50 years later. It's a bit more brutal, but so worth it!

message 144: by Maryanne (new)

Maryanne Lewis | 8 comments Yvonne wrote: "Poison Study by Maria V Snyder

Yes! I've been dying to get my hands on Poison Study. Have you read any of the other Maria V. Snyder books? Touch of Power was really good.

message 145: by Maryanne (new)

Maryanne Lewis | 8 comments Lauren wrote: "Okay so some of these are veeerry different compared to Throne of Glass but I feel like they have similar themes. For example, most of them feature a strong female main character and most of them i..."
This whole list made me hyperventilate! I've read quite a few of the bokos on this list, and I absolutely loved them. the ones I haven't read, i'll definitely be giving them a try. you hav amazing taste in books. ;)

message 146: by Sejal (new)

Sejal The Lunar Chronicles, The Shadowhunter Chronicles (my #1 series: TMI, TDI, TDA, + TLH and TWP in years to come), Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Three Dark Crowns (the first book came out this year)

These aren't necessarily similar to ToG and ACOTAR but I loved them all and I hope you will too!!

message 147: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) Well, seeing that ACOTAR will be getting 3 more books and 2 novellas, I don't have to worry about this for roughly 4 years :)

message 148: by Emma (new)

Emma | 19 comments Poison Study from Maria V Snyder is great. It starts off in a similar way to TOG actually! The protagonist is being taken from a dungeon to meet with someone from the castle. It's totally different from there though. The characters are written well and of course there's a great romance in it! One of my favorites (no Feyre and Rhys though!)

Also Graceling is a good one. That also has a film due out this year I believe.

message 149: by Jordan (new)

Jordan | 65 comments I'd recommend Graceling. Especially the first book. It was the best of the three in my opinion. :)

message 150: by Blythe (new)

Blythe (blythe_alexandra) | 69 comments Graceling is a good one another one is
Princess of Thorns
