Yep, as far as I know rereads are allowed for all the challenges in this group unless specifically stated otherwise, as long as you reread the whole book, not just skim.

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, yes, it could fit. :)

A Valentine's Day birthday is awesome!
My friend Valerie and her brother Tom both have Valentine's Day birthdays, several years apart. Their Mom named them Val and Tom for Val and Tom's Day.

Fran, that is so freaking cute! I have sisters that share a birthday years apart, that is so rare - and to have it land on a holiday too?! The baby next to me in the hospital was named Valentina, my mom told me many times over the years that she wanted to trade me for her. Not really the nicest thing to say to your first born... 8/ She was a bit of a character, "bless her heart"!

My mom and her younger sister actually share a birthday which is also a holiday - November 11, Veteran's day. And I have cousins (sisters) who also share a birthday with our grandmother...too bad I was impatient and couldn't wait four more days to be born, or I would have shared it with them, too! :D

My mom and her younger sister act..."
Karen, how had this never come up before?!

Amazing the things we haven't managed to talk about yet! :D

welcome to the challenge! Just remember to post any book updates in the participants' thread here. Feel free to post any questions and queries in this post. :)

Hi Patty, this is the thread for questions and suggestions. You need to post in the participants' thread here.

My mom and her younger sister act..."
This is what happened in our family as well!
My eldest brother and older sister have the same birthday 3 years apart, and I was due on the same day - but was late by 4 days ;) They also share a birthday with my aunt and a dog we used to have!

Sure. I think we're pretty easy going around here with the categories, unlike other groups. :)

Yes,

Thanks Ty, I thought it worked, but I wanted to make sure you didn't think it was too much of a stretch!

Very nice, Sexyeasha123! This is the suggestions thread for the monthly challenge. If you want to post your progress, please post it in the participants' thread here.
This thread is for suggestions and questions for the various categories. The thread for participants is HERE.
1. 'F' is for February: Read a book that starts with 'F' or by an author whose first or last name begins with 'F'.
2. Happy Birthday!: Read a book from a February birthday celebrant's GR bookshelf whose name/nickname starts with the same letter as yours OR match the date of your birthday (1-31) to a member on the February birthday list.
If neither of these options work, select a match as close as possible (either side of the initial or date).
February Birthday List
3. Geography: Read a book whose author, character, or setting is from Israel. Other options: You may also read a book set in the Middle East. Israel is (in)famous for religious and political strife. Thus, you can also read a book about religion or politics/politicians or with characters in the armed forces. The national flag of Israel is blue and white - you may read a book with a predominantly blue or white cover.
4. Groundhog Day (Feb 2): In the movie Groundhog Day, the Bill Murray character is doomed to relive the same day over and over again, leading to shenanigans, laughter, tears, and ultimately, a life re-examination. Read a book involving life-altering choices or time, either time travel, a time loop, or a historical/futuristic/non-contemporary time.
5. Superbowl Sunday (Feb 3): Are you ready for some footbaaaaaall! Here in the States, Superbowl Sunday is practically considered a holy day for some: whether you're an actual fan of the sport, the half-time show, or the commercials XD. Read a sports-themed book: athletes, sportscasters, sports reporters, agents, etc. Or if you're like me (most of the time) and just like to watch the half-time show and commercials, read a story where the character is a musician or involved in the entertainment or advertising industry.
6. Lunar New Year (Feb 10): It's the Year of the Snake! Lunar New Year is extremely popular across the Asian culture. Read a book with a main character who's Asian, or by an Asian author, or any book related to snakes, dragons (a mythical creature found in many Asian folktales), fireworks, or good fortune. OR read a manga.
7. Valentine's Day (Feb 14): Read a book with hearts on the cover or a book about high school/college sweethearts, or young love (yes, YA counts).
8. Tell a Fairy Tale Day (Feb 26): Read a fairy tale! Or read a retelling of a fairy tale, or a book about faerie, fairies, or the fey.
9. Chocolate Lovers' Month; Read a book where chocolate, sweets, desserts, or baked goods is the main theme or is on the cover/title, or a book where a character is obsessed with sweets/chocolate/etc. OR read a book that you consider a guilty pleasure. XD
10. Reader's Choice: Read any book of your choice.
You can choose 3, 5, 8 or all 10 categories, depending on your reading speed, book availability, and/or time commitments.
When posting your progress, please make sure to put the date you finished each book.
Please repost your progress as it helps with updating!
Happy Reading!
