Sarapencil | 1 comments Hi there, I'm new to GR and the forum, as well as to PR. I've just finished devouring Karina Halle's Experiment in Terror series (still licking my lips, soooo delicious!), and am looking for a similar book/series to follow up. The features I loved were the H/h that were so flawed and "real" (he's schizophrenic and on meds, she's overweight and insecure and has a psychiatric history), the sharp and witty dialogue, and the development of their relationship over the arc of the series (from the heroine's unrequited lust through friendship and betrayal, the influence of their circumstances on their feelings, etc.) I also like that these are human characters thrust into paranormal situations, rather than featuring paranormal characters (I'm really not interested in vamps, were-anythings, faeries, angels, etc. I like my heroes human. Or ghosts. Ghosts are hot.) Does anyone have any recommendations? I've read Porter House, the Stormclyffe Affair, Freudian Slip, and Midnight Investigation, but EIT tops them all. I have really limted reading time so I'm trying to get the cream of the crop :) Thanks so much everyone!!
Sara
