Natalie | 44 comments Sixteen Brides by Stephanie Grace Whitson I really wanted to like this book but I just could not.... Not a fan of scenes changing that fast, found it hard to understand the characters :(

Decided to read Undetected by Dee Henderson instead

To be frank, It started out beautifully and I thought it was going to be a great read. For me, it started falling flat and the story very forced...especially the dialogue between the main characters.

And I am REALLY looking forward to Cross Stitch Before Dying as I have read the whole series so far and loved every minute of it. It's secular but squeaky clean.

Shannah Mauney (sdmauney14) | 84 comments Larkspur Cove (Moses Lake, #1) by Lisa Wingate

This book started out a little slow for me. I was about a quarter of the way through before I really got interested, but after that I didn't want to put it down. The story flows smoothly enough. The reason I'm giving this book four stars is because of the message. Overall, this was an enjoyable story. I can't wait to read the rest of the series! Read my full review here.

Shannah Mauney (sdmauney14) | 84 comments A Match of Wits (Ladies of Distinction, #4) by Jen Turano

I absolutely love Jen Turano. Her writing style is entertaining and fun! I have been waiting for Agatha's story since I read the first book, A Change of Fortune, and I was not disappointed. Overall, this was a highly satisfying conclusion to a fantastic series, and I can't wait for more of Jen Turano's stories. Read my full review: http://shannahmcclamrock.blogspot.com...

I haven't decided what I'm starting next.

Shannah Mauney (sdmauney14) | 84 comments Courting Cate (The Courtships of Lancaster County, #1) by Leslie Gould

Courting Cate was my first experience with Leslie Gould and it won't be my last. This was a unique Amish novel, written in first perspective. To date, I have not come across another Amish novel written the same. Cate is also an anomaly to most Amish stories I've read. Learning to trust God with your live, love, and everything is hard. But that's what he wants. Mistrust turns to trust, Cold and Callous turns to warm and joyful in Christ, and love conquers all in this sweet Amish romance.

See my full review here.
