Shannah Mauney (sdmauney14) | 84 comments A Ranger's Trail (Texas Trails #4) by Darlene Franklin

I really enjoyed this book. This is my second book by Darlene Franklin, so I had few expectations for this book. Of course, I wanted it to be as enjoyable as the rest of the series, and I was not disappointed on that account. View my full review here.

Starting Wildwood Creek (Moses Creek, #4) by Lisa Wingate today.

Shannah Mauney (sdmauney14) | 84 comments The Colonel's Lady by Laura Frantz

I have been waiting for a chance to read this book since I received in for Christmas two years ago. I have heard so many good things about this author's books, and I wasn't disappointed. The author does an excellent job of painting a vivid picture of life in Kentucky at that time, and bringing the characters to life. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Read my full review here.

Up Next: The Quilted Heart Omnibus (Quilted Hearts #1-3) by Mona Hodgson or The Beloved Daughter by Alana Terry

Shannah Mauney (sdmauney14) | 84 comments The Quilted Heart Omnibus (Quilted Hearts #1-3) by Mona Hodgson - These women touched my heart tremendously. I only wish this wasn't a collection of novellas! I would have loved to delve into each of their lives just a little bit more. Overall, this was a delightful collection of stories about being transformed. Just as these ladies learn from one another during their quilting circle, so we should learn: "A quilted heart is a transformed heart." View my full review here.

The Colonel's Lady was one I started re-writing in my head almost as soon as I was finished with it. It has some great moments, but some very annoying ones as well.

Shannah Mauney (sdmauney14) | 84 comments A Shining Light by Judith Miller This is a sweet, sweet story. The author paints a vivid picture of life in the Amana colonies. It's a different world, for sure. I can't imagine living in a community where everyone shares everything. View my full review here.

Shannah Mauney (sdmauney14) | 84 comments Butterfly Palace by Colleen Coble I really cannot get enough of this author. Colleen Coble knows how to write a great story that captivates the reader from beginning to end. I was trapped from the first chapter of the book to the very end. Most of the time, I can kind of figure out what's going to happen or who the villain is in a mystery/suspense story. However, there were so many twists and turns to this story, I didn't figure anything out until the characters did! I loved that about it! Check out my full review here.

Currently reading A Beauty So Rare (Belmont Mansion, #2) by Tamera Alexander and loving it!
