Oh my, I don't know...I know I've started a lot more than I've finished. So many seem to have lower quality of writing or unrealistic dialogue or a message they want to beat over your head. A lot of recycled plots as well. Stealing the Preacher obviously has a message, but it grows naturally out of the story, which is fresh and has a lot of depth. The author also wasn't afraid of letting her characters touch each other and have some feelings of desire. If we weren't looking for some sparks, we probably wouldn't be reading romance.

If you like books like that, where the author is not afraid of having the steamy moments and the characters touching, I would definitely recommend Julie Lessman and Deeanne Gist:) They are great Christian authors! You can check out my blog, which is about romance, for some reviews:)

Joleen | 17 comments I LOVED it too!

Salyna is right, Lessman is AWESOME. Her latest book, "Love at any Cost" has a great message as well as good romance. She is an incredible writer. I also love Denise Hunter's Cowboy series. (Big Sky Country, I think).

my blog: breathperfumed.com has some recommendations too. I never post a review that is below a 3.5 and they are quick read reviews. :)

Happy reading!!

Shannah Mauney (sdmauney14) | 84 comments Just finished Fancy Pants (Texas Historical Series, #1) by Cathy Marie Hake . Overall, I am very satisfied with this story. The plot is a little unbelievable, but that doesn't make the story any less enjoyable. The interaction and dialogue is excellent and the story was easy to follow along with. This won't be my last book by Cathy Marie Hake, for sure!

Jodi Bowersox (jodibowersox) | 26 comments I read two books this week: A Tailor-Made Bride A Tailor-Made Bride by Karen Witemeyer and Sharpshooter in Petticoats Sharpshooter in Petticoats (Sophie's Daughters, #3) by Mary Connealy I enjoyed Tailor-Made Bride, although not as much as some of Witemeyer's other books. I give it 4 stars.
Sharpshooter seemed a bit thin on story. Probably a book middle grade girls would love but there didn't seem to be enough there for an adult audience. I would give it 4 stars if it had been aimed at a younger audience, but since it wasn't, I give it 3.

I loved both of these books! Although, I'll admit the Sophie's Daughters series isn't as good as some of Mary Connealy's other books...
