Definitely. I haven't gone far enough for me to see Anita's slutty ways (as I've only read 2 books) but I'm sure if I read more, she will start to annoy me with that as well. I've read so many comments about the amount of sex that she has with so many different people. LOL Yep I don't think I'll be giving her a chance again unless I get really desperate. I don't see that happening with all the books I need to read.

Here it is 2021 and I just stopped reading a third of the way through book four. I’m 70. Could be why I find Anita Blake progressively more idiotic. I read 120 or so books a year being a paranormal/fantasy/ sci fi/ epic novel junkie. I thought I’d check out Laurell K. Hamilton’s series since she is listed as an author suggestion on more than a few author pages. Jeese Louise! Blake became so annoying I had to stop. Maybe it gets better, but after reading the past comments, I doubt it. Provoking violence because of her arrogant paranoia and shooting people/werewolves just to prove she “meant business” is shallow, stupid and just crappy writing. I’m done.

In the Fall of 2021, LKH shocked readers by revealing on TikTok that she had progressively increased the sexual content in the Anita Blake series simply to lash out at critics & bad reviews. The more readers hated it, the more she included in the next novel. 😖
