Mish | 3600 comments Oh no! I'm running out of time & I haven't even started my book yet.

I picked Tall Man: The Death of Doomadgee. I don't think I'd be able to read it in Feb but I'd still like to read it this year.

Catherine | 76 comments I decided to read this instead An Author Bites the Dust by Arthur W. Upfield .

Hope it's an appropriate choice for this challenge.

Kim Marie | 894 comments Shake a Leg by Boori Monty Pryor is a wonderful children's book that uses story, dance and a little humour to break down the cultural barriers. I loved the way it's illustrated by Jan Ormerod and the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 Star rating is that I would have liked to have seen women/girls represented a little more.

I did finish The Last of the Nomads but in the start of March. I got really sick at the end of Feburary and ended up in hospital. While recovering in hospital I finished reading this amazing book. I loved the story and I generally do not get into non-fiction. I want to own this!

That book sounds really good Ashleigh...I like the sound of it. Sorry you were so sick, and glad you are well again:)

Jan Hawkins (jan_hawkins) I couldn't resist this glowing recommendation... Did a book hunt and purchased my copy. Thanks Ashleigh for the inspiration, I look forward to reading this.

Where did you find it Jan? I've been hunting too, and haven't been able to find it yet?

message 68: by Jan (new)

Jan Hawkins (jan_hawkins) I bought it through Amazon.com for $6 but paid $16 shipping from the US but it is in Very good condition and will happily join my collection methinks *grin* Now I need to wait a month for it *sigh* but I am happy to have it.

Oh, OK then...I'll keep searching...I don't like paying Amazon's delivery prices!!

message 70: by Jan (new)

Jan Hawkins (jan_hawkins) Yep.. for aussies they seem high, but then compared to AU prices it is min. $12 shipping in AU so it is comparative to my mind.
