C.P. Lesley (cplesley) | 199 comments Hi, I just went to list a book that I published in Sept. 2012 for a giveaway (that is, the book is still within the six-month limit). But the choices on the form are 2013 and 2014. Should I list it as January 2013 and give the correct date in the comment box? I don't want to send the computer into a tailspin.

Thanks!

rivka January 2013 is fine, or I believe it is also possible to leave that option blank.

C.P. Lesley (cplesley) | 199 comments I went back in and changed it to blank, then gave the date in the details section (so the GR staff would know that it was still within the limits).

Thank you to both of you for your help!

Catie Hartsfield | 20 comments I tried to do a free book giveaway and although my book is listed in Good Reads, it did not recognize the ISBN, what do I do?

Are you sure it's an ISBN, or is it an ASIN? ASIN numbers are only for Kindle books. Goodreads giveaways are only available for physical books.

Catie Hartsfield | 20 comments Yes, it is an isbn or a real book.

Hmm... I had a look at your profile, and the book listed there doesn't have a physical version listed on Goodreads. I'm aware now that the 'real' book exists, but I'm guessing it needs to be added to Goodreads or the giveaway won't work. You add the book just like the Kindle version was added, except you put in the ISBN instead of the ASIN. Then post in the Librarian's group, asking both editions to be combined, so they are listed together. Then I think the giveaway should work :)
