Now I know that I'm not the only one (but I call mine Reader's Block). I usually find a book that is a quick read or one that I've heard to be incredible. If that doesn't work, I'll try rereading one of my favorites.
Thanks for the advice. I realised today that I'm already behind on my book challenge so I'm going to try and finish one I've taken a break on to get it up again.
I find that extremely annoying. Especially because usually I actually WANT to read something but I just can't concentrate. But I also feel that it helps to read something short and easy when that happens. Also, you have to understand that putting a book aside for some time or not finishing at all is totally okay. Feeling guilty makes it all even worse.
I get that way as well. I get what I call reading spurts..I'll read read and neglect everything else and then I'll just stop and do everything else but read. Sometimes I just need a few days and then I try to pick it up again. I've made a goal to read 10 books this year. 4 more than last year. I've already read 2 and am 20% on my 3rd..so I think I'm ahead of my goal.

Sometimes I just can't get connected to anything or I will write books off as predictable without giving them a fair chance and it'll take me a few weeks to find anything satisfying.
If so do you up have any tips for getting back into a book?
