Claudia (claudiaconnor) Oh, and along the same lines of Gerard, check two other series-Marliss Melton and Stephanie Tyler. I think both Melton and Gerard are series that better and better the farther you get into them.

Bob Jordan | 9 comments I think other author's would agree with me when I say how much we appreciate feedback from our readers. After working on my my novel, Unfinished Business, for one year, I released it last month and just yesterday received this nice letter from Dee. He wrote:

Unfinished Business
message: Hi Bob,

I am so sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner about your book. When you offered me the book I didn't have a kindle and had problems downloading the book. Since I could screw up a wet dream when it comes to computers I had to wait for my stepson to help me. My stepson is an IT tech but was out of the country for the Navy. By the time he got back I had gotten a kindle and he helped me. Enough with the excuses.

I love the story! It was a fresh perspective and different than anything I have ever read. I loved how Trevor loved Janet enough to chance losing everything he had gained simply to give her a chance to live- even if it meant his own death. Though, I have two questions. First, if the bad guys couldn't be killed with guns how could they be killed being driven off a cliff? The second question is when Janet found the car why didn't she call the police in the off chance Trevor was alive? For her to leave it there seems almost sacrilegious.

I noticed you have written another book and have downloaded that one to my kindle. I am glad it is not an audio, because I have found that I really don't like audio on a kindle. In order to hear you have to have head phones and I like to move around the house or whatever doing mindless work, like cleaning. With a kindle you really can't do that, because you have to have the kindle near you.

Anyway, thanks for the book and thanks for the hours of enjoyment I got in listening to it. It is 2:30 AM. I will put in my plug at LHBJ about the book tonight, but write a review for you tomorrow.

you said to Dee:
Hi Dee

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed my latest novel. It took nearly one year to write and edit. A real labor of love :)

You pose two great questions, which I will be glad to answer. There were two times Trevor shot a gun. The first was in the root cellar located under the House Of Mirrors. The bad guy here couldn't be killed by the gun Trevor shot at him with because this event took place in the bad guy's future. He was from the past as you may remember, specifically the year in which Trevor was about to travel to. The bad guy Trevor shot at, slipped back into the past a millisecond before the bullet reached him. Also, and this takes a little thought to wrap your mind around, technically the bad guy was already dead, having died in the car crash along with his buddy and Trevor ( when they drove off the 300 foot cliff ).

The second time Trevor shot a gun was after he traveled back into the past. This is the era in which the villains lived. The bad guys were in the car about to crash into Janet's vehicle when Trevor took aim at their car and fired. Here, either the bullet's in the gun were blanks or Trevor was a bad shot. I didn't give a detailed explanation when I wrote this scene. I left it up to the reader's imagination. :)

Your second question, why didn't Janet call the police after finding the car, is also a good one. Here, I put Janet into the position of looking down into a deep ravine, 300 feet below. It was obvious to her that, seeing the car crushed and on fire, that no one could have survived such a fall.

I hope this explains everything. If not, feel free to ask more questions. I really enjoy feedback from readers.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to write a review. I would appreciate having you post on Amazon, Goodreads and Smashwords.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments My Yorkie, Stewart Little, participates in the READ Program. In other words, every Thursday I take Stewie to library and children get a book and read to him. It helps in their reading skills and giving them self-confidence in reading out loud.

Last Thursday, I needed to go to Tucson so I sent my son there. Unbeknown to me, the director of the library and a local radio station interviewed him. They also took pictures of both my son and my dog.

Janet Henderson | 74 comments Oh Dee that is so cool! You'll need to get the pictures and post them. :) I've heard about the READ programme, they having something like it in New Zealand. It's a wonderful idea - and I bet your dog loves it too! :)

message 59: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Thanks. I have the interview and the pics I just can't figure out how to transfer them. My stepson is an IT person so as soon as I see him I will get him to do it.

Hey Alison! Congrats!! I just checked out your website, followed you on twitter and your lovely friends too! Looks like a fun group :) Are you going to RWA in Atlanta?

Claudia (claudiaconnor) Hi All. Okay, it's taken me a while, but here's my news. I wrote a book and it finaled in the New Jersey Romance Writers Put Your Heart in a Book Contest. While I was in NJ I met with an agent who then read my book and loved it! So I'm now represented by Jita Fumich of Folio Lit and I couldn't be more excited. Hopefully I'll be published soon and you will all be able to read it. So what's it about...hmm...I'm like a deer in headlights when anyone asks me this. When it's the dad's on my daughter's soccer team it's more than a tad awkward.

So, it's about a Navy SEAL who falls in love with a young mother and her four kids while on leave at the beach. Abby's sweet, beautiful, and also pregnant. She's everything Matt's always wanted and never thought he would find. But, Abby's a woman who's been left all her life and all Matt can do is leave. It's about a love strong enough to conquer not just distance, but deep hurts and emotional obstacles. My working title is, A Different Kind of Promise.

I probably didn't do the story justice, I'm really bad at giving summaries, but there it is.

Thank You!! That was a huge step out of the closet for me! :)

Claudia

Aww That is so great! I taught kindergarten for ten years and worked with blind and deaf children. Dogs truly do have special ability to warm hearts and instill calm and confidence. Hugs to you and Little Stewart!

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Thank you Claudia, Stewart Little (or Stewie to family) is also working at a place called Head to Toe Therapy. That is a place for children with severe mental and physical challenges. These kids do not go to a regular school, because their disabilities are so severe, and recently the director asked for some therapy dog volunteers.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Claudia the plot sounds awesome. When you get a publisher, and I have no doubt you will you need to create your own thread. That way members can glance at the title of your book and remember it. If you need help I will be happy to assist.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments my dog, Stewart Little and I were on television for the READ program at the library. They filmed us and several children, including my niece and nephew who came from Tucson (100 miles away) while they read to Stewie.

Janeiowa | 5009 comments Here is more from Nora Roberts. Rosalind James included this on her Facebook page

“It would be mighty hard to express myself better than Nora Roberts, so I'll just share this and say--I agree with every word. Thank you, all of you, for supporting authors who don't take shortcuts. I can honestly say that I almost never receive a nasty email or a demand for something free, and I know that's because I have fantastic readers. I appreciate you. http://fallintothestory.com/to-sum-up...

Rosalind James is my #1 favorite author.
