Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Our recent Q&A got me to thinking that you may have something like a website, being a moderator of another group, being able to digital art, do you have an event coming up, or whatever. Brag a little. We would love to hear about it.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) Hi all!

Stop by The Book Nympho Blog today for my interview with Cindy Gerard, author of The Bodyguards and Black Ops series. She's promoting her new series, One-Eyed Jacks and my review of the first book, Killing Time is also featured. There's also an opportunity to win a signed paperback Show No Mercy / Take No Prisoners, the first two books in her Black Ops series.

I hope you get the chance to visit the site.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Thanks Jonetta. Great interview. I have never read Cindy Gerard. I will look for her books. I really love booknympho.

message 9: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) Thanks, Dee! I think you would like her style based on the new book I read.

❤️ Dorsey aka Wrath Lover Reviews ❤️ Hi Jonetta, are these series entwined? I have the first book in the One Eyed Jack series but I don't know if I need to read anything before that??

message 11: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) There are crossover secondary characters that she adequately provides the back stories for and while they're part of the plot, they're very much secondary. I didn't feel like I was missing anything at all other than to be intrigued enough about those characters to go get those series. I would never have rated the book 5 stars if I felt like the characters weren't vivid enough.

I don't read books out of order and am a stickler about it. I didn't feel shortchanged at all here and Gerard did a great job here in keeping this series independent. You know how sometimes when you've had the misfortune of reading a book out of order you get the sense that there's more to the story and you're missing something? Didn't happen here.

Hope this helps.

Valie (valiemartin) | 80 comments Thank you, Jonetta. I loved to read this interview.

I'm a big fan of military romance, so Cindy Gerard's books are always in my auto-buy List!

DORSEY, I'm quite certaine you can start Killing Time without reading the others before that. Just know that you missed something! ;)

Bob Jordan | 9 comments Hello. I'm new to this group. Thank you for the opportunity to promote my upcoming new novel, Unfinished Business. It's a mix of time travel, light paranormal and romantic suspense. It will be available Valentine's Day.

Here an overview:An ancient door provides the portal to a man's past, offering him two opportunities: Return to 1984 to halt the bizarre accident that took his fiancee's life and retrieve a mysterious orb. Without intervention, the orb and its powers will be seized by evildoers.

For Trevor, the risks are high, but the rewards are immeasurable.

Twenty-nine years later Trevor still grieves for his fiancee killed by a hit-and-run driver the day before their wedding. That void can be filled. The choice is his.

An old German who informs Trevor that Janet's death was planned, also provides clues relating to the orb that dangled from her neck on the day she died. Those powers emanating from the orb, perpetuate time travel. Trevor's mission is to return to 1984 to prevent the tragedy that took his fiancee's life, and to keep the orb from the clutches of evildoers.

The fate of the world lies in Trevor's hands. If he refuses the old German's proposal, the necklace will be seized by madmen whose goal is world domination and, ultimately, the control of the universe.

Whooshed through the ancient door and back to the past, Trevor implements a plan—one thwarted when the same hit-and-run driver who killed his fiancee, slams into him. Near death and in a coma, Trevor's fate hangs in the balances. A second attempt on his life is barely averted when a stranger slips into the hospital room and attempts to inject something into his IV.

Trevor snaps out of the coma with, his memory of the past scattered. in bits and pieces. Even if he manages to outwit the madmen who trail him, how can Trevor fit the scattered piece together to rescue his fiancee and save the world...if he cannot recall his mission?

Does that sound good! Is it going to be a series or just one book?

message 27: by Bob (new)

Bob Jordan | 9 comments Good question Dee. At this point, one book...but stay tuned...

message 28: by Dee (last edited Feb 05, 2013 07:49PM) (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments FYI: If it becomes a series make sure each book can stand alone. I am forever picking up a book that is a series, not realizing it is, and I cannot get into the book because you have to read the previous ones first. Then I forget the book and the author. If all the books are stand alone books I read the book and when I realize it is a series I will go back and pick up all the books. I read a lot of books, about one a day. So a new (to me) author can be easily forgotten if I cannot get into the book.
