Alexa Parrenas I would never think I would read this kind of book. I am more of an adventure type of person and a mystery book type of girl. The book, Perks of Being a Wallflower was an exception to my comfort zone. I really enjoyed the book. I would recommend it for people who want more of a drama filled novel. It may seem slow at first, but I feel like that during the whole time there are a lot of things that go on and evened it out. The main character, Charlie, was trying to deal with one of his good friend Michael’s death. As any fifteen year old high school is your life. Charlie was one of those people who we would consider a, “wallflower.” Shy kid, always just watched life happen but never really lived in the moment of what it was all about. He never thought that one of his good friends would become a teacher. His English mentor Bill, helped him by trying to show him that being a wallflower has its good and bad. I really liked this because I could relate to it. His friends that he gains come and go just like in real life. I really liked the fact that I could put myself in Charlie’s shoes sometimes. It’s a young adult book, so it’s not too difficult to read. I would recommend it for anyone who likes to read books about living life as a teen.

Hec Hernandez i liked the book pone of my teacher recommend it and i was like yeah sure ill read it and it was a great book i wish ill b able to see the movie

Helen I didn't really know what to expect when I read this novel but I was pleasantly surprised. Having also read 'The Catcher in the Rye' I prefer 'Wallflower' to it as personally I find it a more darker, serious and realistic novel.

What I enjoyed most was how this wasn't an idealistic representation of high school so to me read as a credible and realistic novel. Charlie does get his friends but then there's also the disappointments and lows which all the characters seem to get their share of.

Also being a bit of a wallflower myself when I was a teenager I could empathise with Charlie's viewpoint.

I am greatly looking forward to watching the film when its released on DVD.

Laura Personally I prefer, Perks to Catcher the Rye, because I could not bring myself to really like Holden, whereas I LOVED Charlie. I also liked how Charlie's story stretched over the span of a day, wheres as Holden's story was only over 2 days so there wasn't as much character development.

Sabrina i loved perks and got an emotion attachment to charlie because he was writing letters to the reader and confided with the reader.

Alexis I loved this book. Charlie was a great character to read about and I think Patrick was just hilarious. I think the perks of being a wallflower is an awesome book that is worth reading. I highly recommend this book!

P.S. The movie was great too. :)
