SOLVED. Group of students on the same bus get kidnapped [s]

I read this book in seventh grade (2002-2003), I'm not sure how old it was then though. It's focused on the kidnapping of a group of high school students from the bus they were riding home. I'm pretty sure most of them don't even come from wealthy families. One of the boys has a muscle deformity in his shoulder/arm. I know this is pretty vague and could describe a number of books, but I don't remember what happens or if there is a ransom or not. I'd love to find this book though and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Five Were Missing possibly? There was another thread about this same type question, but I don't remember if it was solved or not. I do remember that it was NOT this book that that poster was looking for.

Was it a children's book, YA, or adult? Could it be Under the Beetle's Cellar?

It looks like Five Were Missing and Ransom could be the same book printed under a different title, but I think it is most likely the book I'm looking for. I will check it out as soon as I can to confirm. Thank you so much for your help!

It is definitely Five Were Missing/Ransom--the detail about the boy with the deformed arm is there.
