Hopeless by Colleen Hoover → Start Date: January 19th, 2013
I've read this last year. I can't say its a happy story but its very realistic that it seems to be based from a true story. I can also see another book from Colleen about Sky and Holder after this one.

Me too! :D
Have you noticed the amount of sad books we've picked as buddy reads lately? What does that say about us? LOL
Welcome Vicki!
TrishaI think you are right.. I know I wouldn't be reading them if it wasn't for you guys! :D
Gisbelle
Is our crying bet from The Probability of Miracles still on, since neither of us cried last time? Haha.
oh no! am I the only one that cried to that one! LOL!okay, maybe you guys will cry to this one and I won't.... I doubt it though. I think this one might get us all with tears :D
It's okay, don't feel bad. I was the only one who cried over The Edge of Never, out of the three of us, if I remember correctly. LOL!
Janna, oh yes baby, it is on! lol... I didn't cry over The Edge of Never either :) So among the 3 of us, Janna, you are a cry baby :P Oops, Trisha is ALSO a cry baby :)
haha... I'm kidding, by the way. I cry a lot. Really. I cry listening to some music, TV shows, movies... But these books were just not sad enough for me, I guess.
Well, of course! We are just picking on you.Who doesn't cry sometimes? I mean, have you seen the Notebook?! Big fat crybaby right here!
I can understand that. Usually, it takes me getting really attached to a character to cry. I didn't feel that with Cam from The Probability of Miracles or Sam from Before I Fall.
:D I haven't watch The Notebook yet. Can you believe it? I still cannot decide whether to read the book first or just go ahead a watch the movie.
No! I can't believe you haven't seen it! Um, either way it's a tear-jerker. I watched the movie first.. totally worth it. My husband REFUSES to watch it because of how much I cried over it. Ha, ha. He thinks he could be subjected to being "less manly" if it got to him.
yay Tracy! Glad you can jump in with us! :) I can't wait to read this one!! I've heard soo many good things!! and since I'm just about the last person that STILL hasn't read Slammed, I'm glad I at least get to read this one :)

lol... But you have read tons of books others have never read (me for example). Slammed is a great book. I am not a big fan of the second book, though.
Janna wrote: "If it makes you feel better Trisha, I've never read Slammed. I've never even heard of it actually!"lol!! it's wrong, but it DOES make me feel better! LOL! When we both get it ~ we MUST buddy read it! :D
Lol! Definitely buddy reading it!! Just let me know when you think you'll be able to get it and I will order it :)
Trisha, I still haven't read Slammed either!Gis, I saw The Notebook and bawled my eyes out, but I haven't read the book.

I am going to watch the movie then :)
Idt I'll be joining now. I can't find anyone on my nook friends that can lend me it):I swearci saw it before!/:
wow, it's finally time for this one!!!so, I think there about 55 chapters and almost 400 pages.
How much do we want to try to read per day???
haha... oh my... Another one to add to the list. Not sure about Janna and you, Trisha, I think I will read around 10-15. But I might need to finish Killer first. Forget about sleeping lol...
lol!! I know right?!?!?! I'm trying desperately not to get behind but WOW! We really put these big books back to back! :) well, I think I'll finish Killer tomorrow too! And get most of the way through Lock & Key tomorrow and THEN I'll start this one!how can we sleep when there are this many good books, right?!?!? :O
I'm on August 31st. I can't lie. I keep going back to Chapter 1 (October something) and marveling at how crazy it gets in just a few months.but I have my own ideas about the first chapter...
What do you think, Gisbelle... Do you like it so far?? What do you think of Holder? and Six? and Brecken?
and Grayson..... :( I don't like him at all!!!
I haven't read more yet. A lot of work to do this week. I'll read more later today. As a friend, I think Six is a good friend since she cares and loves Sky. But I also think she is a bad influence. Being promiscuous like that. The first few chapters made me hate them both, Sky and Six. They are so slutty. Even Sky hasn't slept with those boys, it still doesn't make what she has been doing more acceptable. Or even when she said she didn't feel anything when she made out with those boys.
I like Holder so much. I have a thing for bad temper boys lol... I felt sad for him when he told Sky about his twin sister.
Brecken is likable too. I don't have much opinion about him yet though. I love that he allies with Sky so that she is not so alone at school.
My mind keeps going back to the first chapter too. I am so curious when she was so messed up.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book so far!!!! Six is a bit slutty, but she is a good friend! Her letter to Sky was adorable.
I can't get enough of Holder!! He is SO sexy! I'm freaking out over him! Gisbelle, I also felt sad for him about his sister.
Bracken is entertaining. I hope to see more of him.
Knowing this book is supposed to be a tear jerker.. I'm a little scared to keep reading. When do the tears come and why? I love it so much.. I dn want anything bad to happen. Though, it's too good to be true so far.
And, like you said Gisbelle, I can't stop thinking about the first chapter. What happened?
