I wonder what her past is that she keeps hinting at. Like, her real name isn't actually Celaena Sardothien and her memories/flashbacks start when she is being chased by those men after finding out her parents are dead. There's never anything before that though, and she reminisces about faeries and stuff then there's the runes that appeared on her.. I wonder what that's all about

The novellas help a lot, but you never really get too much on Celaena's early life, before she was an assassin. I would really like to know who actually killed her parents and what her home life was like before everything.
I wonder if she has any connections with the faeries, it kinda seems like she does but who knows?

Well, she definitely has magical connections/even heritage (the rune-like image on her forehead)
I bet that some of her ancestors were fairies, and/or that she's related to Dorian in someway.

I was just wondering, am I the only one who thinks she's actually Terrasen royalty? I think it hints at it a lot during the books, and I know her she was found at the same time as the royal family was killed.
I think it's possible but not probable.

EXACTLY. At the end of last year, I figured I wouldn't make it to March. Then I did. I'm holding out until November, at which point I'm half-convinced I'll go into a permanent vegetative state and never wake up.

Yeah, she's in her late 30s now.
I think there's definitely a story behind her parents death and that the author is planning to spell it out slowly through all the books.. I can't wait to read every book in this series

Finally, a heroine with a backbone! I love her and how sarcastic and bold she always is!! My only problem is that Maas tried too hard to make her hubris prominent. It kind of ran the book in my opinion.

Celaena is an amzaing charater!! i really like her being bold and courageous...
