Celaena Sardothien ~ Character Discussion

I love C/A more than ever after Heir of Fire. She's matured so much and grown even more beautiful with her short hair. And for some reasons, I keep seeing her as Teresa Palmer and/or Imogen Poots.

She is so strong its so refreshing to see a strong female lead character in YA.
i like how we've seen her vulnerabilities and how shes overcome them!
Her character dev is amazing
TEAM CELAENA all the way :)
She's been hiding a lot of things. It's like she shorded by something Though most is coming off layer by layer
Celeana is such a cool character!

Thank you!

Aelin Ashryver Galathynius

Fire Breathing Bit..."
you pretty much covered all of them...I really love how Sarah came up with all of Celaenas names!

She has gone through so much shit and still doesn't give up (well, Heir of Fire is an exception). Think about it: her parents brutally murdered, the sacrifice of Lady Marion, Arobynn Hamel was just cruel, her being forced into the life of an assassin, Sam being tortured to death, a YEAR in Endovier, whipping, nearly dying, the king of Adarlan conquering her home, being forced into the competition, the betrayal of Chaol, Nehemia's death, and then the Wrydkeys. She is truly amazing and deserves so much more than what she got. Rowan helped her get up out of the "pit" she was drowning in with memories, regrets and sorrows. She was severely depressed and blaming herself on all the crap that just happened, blamed herself for not honouring the promise she made to Nehemia, blamed herself over and over again until she dint care anymore. But yet Aelin still managed, and she stayed strong, didn't give up. I truly love her.

Have you guys read heir of fire?

Yeah I thought that too.

Some of them she made up(I.e., she made up the name Celaena from the name "Celaeno") while others are just foreign names(I.e., Manon is French, meaning "bitter".)

*Dianna Brackyn :]

And for such a ruthless assassin she sure does have a big heart.

Awww I know. I love all the scenes with Fleetfoot. Apparently, the surest way to Celaena's heart is through chocolate and adorable mammals.

I realize she's a very strong-willed and bull-headed sort of person but she is grating every one of my last nerves!
Please tell me I won't end up hating her by the end of this book! Maybe since she's in her transitory phase between who she was and who she is she can't help her attitude but she seems to blame everything on everyone else but herself. It's like she doesn't take personal responsibility for any of her actions.
Am I totally off-base? I don't want to end up hating her. I liked her in the first 3 books but now...not so much.

Yes I agree with you Janett. I liked her as Celaena and then as the books went on and the plot line developed with the introduction to a whole gang of people, she also started changing into someone I grew annoyed of alot. Maybe things will get better and she will go back to her better self in the last book.

I truly hope so, Sadia! It's one thing to be strong willed but expecting everyone around you to kiss your rear doesn't make one a heroine in my book! I actually miss Celeana because although she was broken she didn't have her head up her own a$$!!

lol! so true, so true... :)
