New release book in style of In Cold Blood

Hi,
I am looking for the name of a fairly new release book that is said to be written in the style of In Cold Blood.
Of course, I didn't write down the name when I saw the review of the book and now I can no longer remember the title.
I do recall the book have a light brown / tan cover with possibly a horse in the top third?
If anyone knows of the book I would be very grateful, going a little bit crazy trying to find it!

A wise friend once gave me some advice when I was in predicament similar to yours, which was to forget about it and let it find you. Might take a while but it works.
