Tell Us About Yourself

My name is Sandi and I'm married, raising 3 teenage girls (god help me) and I work full-time. I love to read! Writing has been a passion of mine for many years and I'm currently working on a book which is almost finished after many grueling months!
I'm excited to be a part of this group and look forward to chatting with everyone!

.. saw a few of my GR friends joining. This a great idea, I thought I had a problem. Not always having a HEA "normal" kinda of ending, end up being the best books. WTF WTF is all I can say because I am crying so much. Books that can elicit those emotions are the best kind, they are the kind that stick with you way after the story is done, and your ten books away from them. Reading so much some characters I forget, but these kind of books, I never do.
Look forward to being part of this group, love to chat books !

Welcome Brenda! You have just explained exactly how I feel-minus the kids part cuz I'm not even married yet-about how I feel!

hmm let me see...have you read The Opportunist? It's not actually a dark book, but definitely a twisted story. I really loved the book, and yes, do for masochist readers :)

Woohoo!!!!! 100 members in a few hours!!! Who would've thought...Thank you all so much for joining. I hope this group proves to be good for both your mental and your psychological health.

Hi Ivy, you aren't really 12 years old, are you?

I am Tyf (Tiffany) 33-year-old mama of an 8 and 3 year old (girl and boy). I am currently taking on my PhD in I/O Psych and NEED my FUNTIME reading to keep my life sane!!! :)

Hello, I'm Elizabeth - I'm 19. I love to read (obviously), listen to music,spend time on pinterest & all things glitter-y (:
I occasionally read dark, angsty books - I would like to read them more often but I fear my mental health when I finish reading them & I have to keep my emotions all bottled up. So I really love the idea of this group - giving us a place to discuss the dark reads, I think it will give me the courage to read more of this genre!
Happy Reading to all (:

Anyway,I'm Joana. I'm 25 years old and i'm from Portugal, mor..."
Oh My God! I have read that book and I have to agree with you! Love the story but it's twisted as fuck (pardon me)! I cried o hard at th end! I hate that damn book!!!

I'm Rose, I'm 28 and getting married in a few months. I'm an attorney, but in my spare time I run a book blog and I love love love to read and chat about books. Have you read the 2nd one? Dirty Red?

My name is Amaryllis, I'm a 22 year old girl living in Paris. I study finance during my time at school, and romance during my free time :)))) (that's how I like to think of it anyway)
Although I am first, a proud Sadist, the truth is I'm also very familiar with masochism. In any case, angsty romance is my favorite kind of drug.
I'm very happy to meet other crazy dark romance addicts :DDD

Thanks Soraya for the invite to the group. I'm not sure I am a masochist reader or not...still exploring things I guess. I am a 19 year old college student from Colorado, USA, studying to be somehow involved in history. I love learning about ages gone by and often wish I could be there instead of here. Just lately I have had a bit of a rough time so look forward to some group therapy :)

You crack me up, this is exactly why Clarifina created the group LMAO, welcome "
hehehe - I'm glad for it. I am quite the masochist at times. I've been known to rail at books (and authors).

Aghhh why is GR not notifying me about this? Love, we need to talk about Feral Sins, I just reviewed it but not rated it and I feel sorry because everyone loved it (don't kill me pls).
Let me see those threads and stay away from my man! lol

I second that! Beautiful Disaster ruined me. Now all I want are these angst filled books with drama and intensity. Oh well, there are worse things that could have happened... like never reading Beautiful Disaster at all.

I know. I truly feel bad for her. It's even worse for the books I can't vent to her about, like Fifty Shades... I just suffered in silence.

Hi Everyone I'm Louise, I'm 22 living in the Philippines, Its a tropical weather here but I still feel the cold burrrr;) haha:D

i love adult books with angst and tons of emotion. the more they make me feel the better.
i'm looking forward to chatting with u all about our favorite hobby "reading" =D

I'm Jennifer, aka Hanklover. Thanks to Clarafina for inviting me.
I love dark, angsty books that stir my emotions and make me cry, but I MUST have my HEA, even if the H/h have to walk through fire to get there, lol. Hope I still qualify to join. ;-)
My favorite hero is one who's a little bit broken (or a lot), and usually hides his vulnerability under a tough, bad boy exterior.
And in case you're wondering who the h*ll's Hank, lol, meet Hank Lawson. ;-)

He's the very epitome of a tortured bad boy.

Woohoo! Welcome to the group Hazel!

I'm Lucy, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Portugal.
I am a very obsessed reader, that spends a lot of time fangirling over her OTP's. When said OTP's haven't found their HEA yet, I freak out and cuss a lot.
I joined this group because I love to read whatever it is that leaves me emotionally drained and challenges me and the opinions I have about certain themes, people and the world in general.
Nice to meet you all! :)

Nope, I think they are neck in neck for sure.. I love Gideon who is OMG-YUMMY! and the Crossfire series is awesome... but I'll always have a certain special place in my heart for Christian. He just makes me swoon in all the right places ;)

Is it bad that I think I love Gideon maybe even MORE than Christian?? I feel like I'm betraying the relationship I made with FSoG, but I fear it might be true!

Is it bad that I think I love Gideon maybe even MORE than Christian?? I feel like I'm bet..."
LOL! I dont think its bad at all... Gideon is HOT. No doubt about it and the man went to the bat for his girl.. so that makes him even hotter! I think its perfectly fine to have more than one book boyfriend. Share the love ;) LOL!

Some dark favs...Forbidden, The Dark Duet, Consequences and

Amyyyy! So glad you're here ;) Now we have another group to gush in!

I like to push my boundaries and there isn't much that puts me off!

Anyway, my name is Debra, I'm 21 year old law student from Belgium. I obviously LOVE reading and I regret that my studies sometimes get in the way of my actual reading time... :s
As some of you already know I'm also a big Matt Bomer fan so THANK YOU Saroya for creating a Bomered-thread LMAO :DD! Looking forward to chatting with all of you and discovering many more amazing books! ;)
