*We ♥ Susan Mallery! I mean that's why we are a part of her group right?! So to celebrate her and her books here is a challenge highlighting Mrs. Mallery! HOWEVER in a little bit of a twist from last year this challenge will include reading Susan Mallery's books as well as her favorite authors, her fans favorites, and lots of other fun variations on last years challenge! But don't fret, ultimately everything will be about Susan, and her amazing characters and their stories ヅ

How It Works
❥ Choose a level and an amount of books you would like to read for the year. You will then make your list using the Challenge Options and the Bonuses!

❥For every Susan Mallery Book you read you will read a book by a different author (see below) so your number of books read will be an even number...unless you add bonuses in addition instead of using them in place of challenge categories!

❥Bonuses can be used in addition to your challenge OR in place of one of the reg challenge options AND can only be used once for each bonus!

❥You may change or add to your list at anytime. You may also change the level of difficulty at anytime.

❥You may use books from other challenges

❥You MAY do re-reads (Unless otherwise indicated) but they have to be reread during the challenge

Please Remember To...

When you finish a book please strike it out, or add a check mark, Post the date that you finished it, and rate it 1-5, 1♥ being you didn’t care for it, 5 ♥’s being you Loved IT!
Update Original List, and add occasional updates in the challenge thread. In your original list and updates make sure to add books completed example: 4/10 Completed

challenge options and bonuses

*For your challenge for every Susan Mallery Option you pick you will also choose a side by side option! So if you choose 3 Susan Mallery picks, you will choose 3 Side by Side picks, totaling 6 books:) Options for both SM and SbS can be used as many times as you like and applied to as many books as you choose to read as long as it fits the category! A Bonus can be used in place of either option but can only be used ONCE!

❤ Chose a We ♥ Susan Mallery group member and read a book from their GoodReads READ book list
❤ Go to Susan's GoodRead page and at the bottom you will see her "groups" Read a book from one of their group reads (NOT a SM book)
❤ Read a book from Susan Mallery's GoodReads bookshelf (can be read, to be read, ect)
❤ Choose & Read a book that has similarities of a SM book you have already read for this challenge. It can be character are similar, setting, style, anything!
❤ Go to Amazon, B&N, ect and search Susan Mallery...then find the "similar authors" or "people who read SM also read ..." and read one of the listed books:)
❤ Ask a member taking this challenge what their favorite Women's Fiction or Contemporary Romance and read their selection.
❤ Read a book/author that is NOT in the same genre as Susan Mallery...so not Women's Fiction and no Contemporary Romance! (you MAY read other romance genres)
❤ Read a book from Susan Mallery's favorite authors (this can be from the bottom of her GR's page, or something she mentioned on FB or Twitter.
❤ Read a Stand Alone Contemporary Romance Book
❤ Read the first in a Contemporary Romance Series...if you choose to finish the series then you can count them as well, you just need to read a SM options for each!
❤ Read a New Release (2013) by your favorite Contemporary Romance or Women's Fiction (besides Susan Mallery of course;)

❣Read a book that has something to do with a Holiday in the month that you read it! exp. Read a book with an irish character if you are reading it in March

❣Susan Mallery is a New York Times bestselling author...Read a book that has made the NYT bestsellers list.

❣Jenel is Susan's Assistant! Go to her GoodReads Read list and read a book from her list.

❣Ask a Cheerleader! Did you know Susan has Fool's Gold Cheerleaders? Well she does...so find one and ask them for a book selection! A lot of them are listed here you can message them throgh GR's or ask in this thread as there are a lot that are members...including myself! ( Can be any author or genre:) Cheerleaders just ask another Cheerleader!

i picked up her Christmas Bride book and fell in love!so i went ahead on thrifbooks and order about 37 of her books; i know -- i went crazy! so I guess I can be part of the challenge. Is it just any of her books or certain ones? I am presently reading her Wild West Wife from the Montana Mavericks; anyone else read these?

Hey Shellbelle, if we want to read from other member's fav, did that book has to has a paralel with SM book that we've picked (like same character's name, same theme, etc) or we can just pick whichever we like?

Peg- Glad you have got on the Susan Mallery bandwagon! It really only takes one book;) You can read any of her books just make them fit in the Susan Mallery Category and you can use categories more than once!

Melissa-Medium is 12 books total. So 6 of SM and 6 Side by Side:)

June- Are you referring to this option -❤ Chose a We ♥ Susan Mallery group member and read a book from their GoodReads READ book list? If so no it does not have to have similarities...If it was a different category you were talking about just add it to a post and that way I can make sure I'm answering you correctly!
