Adding Back Cover Image

I searched for this issue but was unable to find an answer.

I was going to add an additional image (the back cover) to my book's info when I read the notification that additional images were not intended for book covers. So I wanted to know if this actually meant I couldn't add the back cover, or if it meant something else.

Mark, pretty sure it means alternative cover images. Don't see a problem with the back cover being in the additional image section.

The images need to apply to all editions of a book since those are not edition specific if I remember correctly

No, it's specifically not for alternate cover images.

I don't think that's true - I've added interior illustration images t..."

rivka specifically states not to use for book covers and should not be images that apply to only one edition of the book
