Jenny | 2 comments I loved this book - couldn't put it down. And now I'm wondering whether to watch the film ... is it as good, or will it ruin the book for me?

Hi Jenny. I've read it too, and likewise couldn't put it down (so dark, though!) and haven't seen the film. I can imagine Tilda Swinton doing a good job...

Wendy | 2 comments Hi - I put off reading it when it was first published (is it really 10 years?) as I didn't feel that I would enjoy it and certainly didn't like the subject. I bit the bullet last year and like you both couldn't put it down. I loved the intricate examination of Eva's psyche, the debate about nature vs nurture and the shocking way that the story unfolded. I have recommended it to many people but would not go to see the film as I made that mistake with The Time Traveler's Wife!
