LOL so true! I tried to be conservative and only downloaded 12 titles haha!

I kept myself to six titles and feel like I should pat myself on the back for showing self-restraint. ;)

In addition to all of the YA and children's titles that went up from Egmont this week, I just discovered the Penguin added a lot of titles this week as well. Sadly, I never get approved for them, but I'm trying anyway. It includes goodies like Andrea Cremer's THE INVENTOR'S SECRET and others.
Thank you so much for the heads-up, Jennifer! I just downloaded INTO THE STILL BLUE and am delighted about it. :)
Hayley wrote: "OM FREAKIN G, THE TREATMENT IS UP ON EDELWEISS GUYS!!!!!"Best news I've read all day :D
AH! Requested the treatment, but I was also denied for the Program, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up!
*sigh* Edelweiss is so damn frustrating. I'm denied almost categorically for everything I request there. Yet, not only do I not have that problem on NetGalley, I'm auto-approved for several publishers there. I have no idea why that is. I was denied for Finding It, Trust In Me and Into The Still Blue - all books that I REALLY, REALLY wanted (and books that are not available on NetGalley!). Sorry - rant over.
I think Harper auto approved me on Edelweiss because they all now say Read Now and I know I didn't request Into the Still Blue. Don't you get an email though if that happens?
HarperTeen has exploded on Edelweiss again! Including Amy Plum's upcoming release and THE MURDER COMPLEX!!!! So much to read and no time to read them- Can't wait for the holidays! :)

Krista wrote: "It'd be awesome if Harper ever approved anything I requested on Edelweiss. *grumble grumble*"I concur, Edelweiss is impossible lol Netgalley on the other hand is never complicated. Bah.
Haha! I'm in agreement with the Edelweiss dislike. I swear I will request something and 3 months later it's still in pending. I request something on Netgalley it's approved/denied within 2-3 days. Plus Netgalley is so much more easier to use!
There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to Edelweiss' approval system. My feedback is 100% up to date, my stats are current, and I see other blogs with less followers getting approved immediately for books that I get denied for a month after I request access. *sigh*Sorry - I got off topic. I did want to mention that
is on NetGalley now.
It doesn't really have anything to do with Edelweiss as a site.. it just has to do with whether or not the publishers look at the requests and hit 'accept' or 'reject'. It's the publishers who do that—not Edelweiss. ;)

Meh, I have several infinite pending books on NG too *sigh* One thing on EW though is that you can put up reviews for books you didn't get review copies for and I've found that adding most of my reviews helped my approval rate!
