Adele Ward (adeleward) | 11 comments I just managed to get a book giveaway to go viral on Amazon. I've been blogging about this to help other publishers and authors as it's hard to get this kind of information online. I've done a few blog posts with exact statistics and the latest has more help as we've learnt from experience and managed it. Hope it helps you http://adeleward.blogspot.co.uk/ The book is Joe Stein's Another Man's World and there are now downloads every second on Amazon UK, so I count it as going viral now the downloads happen even if I do nothing. To get to this point it had to get high in the rankings, and the secret to that is working your way up in the categories. Hope the blog helps.

Helen Howe | 14 comments Thanks - your blog post was a really interesting read. I recently had a one-day free promotion (didn't even know about it until I accidentally spotted it!) so had to hurry and get the word out. However, it ended up with my book being number 13 in the thriller/mystery/suspense charts by midnight so I was happy about that. And I agree - since the free day there have been more downloads than usual so I think that giveaways are a really good tool for promoting interest.

Adele Ward (adeleward) | 11 comments I'm glad it helped. We'll be running a giveaway a month hopefully as they do seem to help so much, with different authors and books each time. I'm learning new techniques all the time and will blog about them to share info with other authors and publishers.
