Is Robert Pattinson really hot enough to look like Edward from the book?

It depends on the perspective :S i don't care but maybe he's not THAT HOT for being Edward, but, who can? i mean, it doesn't exist in the entire world one person that perfect for playing a rolle like that so..
Who is good looking enough to play Edward? If there is such a man, I want to meet him! Robert Pattinson is attractive (he'd be more so if he did something more..."clean"? with his hair.) and I think he looks more like Edward than somebody else they could have picked.
He is beyond hot enough to play Edward. He has such beautiful features, beautiful eyes and an amazingly hot mouth. I love his hair in the movie too. His body in the movie is great too; underneath the shirt it looks like the chiseled god-like features Stephanie describes.
It depense on what you think Edward should look like. I think he fits in some parts but in others i wish someone else played Edward.
oh and by the way those aren't his features, its called Movie Magic. He's not really that perfect. No one in the family really is in the movie.

He worked out really hard to get the body he had in the movie. He really wanted that part. Since people keep commenting on Rob not being a good Edward, someone please name an actor who would have been better for this part.

It's hard to say cause I honestly think he's the best actor for the job. And did he seriously have to work out THAT hard just to get in this movie series? It's kinda hard to beleive.
He's not what I pictured Edward to look like from the books at all. I still think he did a good job though.

like i said, i don't care, but, i think that the eyes color that he has in the movie isn't for him.. his blue eyes r better!

lolz. i luv rob, and think he's hot. i can't say whether he's hot enough to play edward, cuz i was a twilight non-believer for a while, only started when breaking dawn came out and i had seen the previews. So i pictured edward like rob, bella like kristen, and it worked for me. i think he's beautiful. XD

Well tht answers the piont I was trying to get across.
But he did GREAT in the movie. He even had that velvety and musical voice.
yeaah :) but think, who can? I mean Edward is absolutely perfect! there's nobody, well maybe but not tht i know, in the entire world that perfect! he's just acting, also he said he's not tht good but tht he tryed..
I feel like he could have done better if the script was better. Don't get me wrong, there were some priceless moments in the movie and some great diolouge but I think he could have done better some of his lines were better. You can be a good actor/actress and get a sucky script you can't really do anything with.
No no no he is totally perfect to play Edward I mean who else can play Edward. Robert has the looks, the body, and the voice. Ask yourself: Who else can play him now? Who else can we find who has the accent and the....qualities of Edward Cullen?

i totally agree with Michelle and faith because i got twilight on DVD
and the special features have like deleted scenes on them and the ones that were deleted were a little better i mean the script
but there were some good stuff in it

Thank You Tayla. Finally someone with some sense. I blame the script. Put me in charge and I'll make Pattinson a star. At least he was hot in the movie, I would've been pissed if they had messed his look up.

I thought Roberts’s looks were fine to be Edward. But I didn't think he made the character confident enough. Example - during the scene in biology class where Edward speaks to Bella for the first time, Edward seemed shy and not real sure of himself. This is not how I thought of him when reading the books. For me, being hot enough to play Edward is more then just his looks. Anyone else think this?
I completly agree with you Mindip. He seemed really shy and kind of awkward throught the whole thing. Like when they show up to to meet Jessica and Angela. He really didn't seem comfortable. In the book he knows how to make them agree with him and do what he wants. they just didn't show that side of him. I don't know if it was his acting or the directing. but I guess we will see in New Moon.
The movie also missed the 'dazzle' feature of Edward. I think it was maybe a little of both (acting and directing) possibly the script as well. I hope next movie will be better in this aspect with a new director.
Stephenie Meyer gave Rob the draft of Midnight Sun so he could look at it from Edwards perspective. Maybe he went to far with it and ended up looking unsure???Because Edward doesn't think of himself as some sort of god and he doesn't really like himself so maybe that's his uncertinty.
I partially agree with Dewdrop. Maybe they confused him a bit and I doubt if there will be alot of Edward in the New Moon movie. To me that was Jacob's time to make himself more known. In Eclipse Jasper will shine and in Breaking Dawn everyone will have a chance. It's a brilliant thing to do. Maybe she should make books from more point-of-views.

Robbert Patterson is SOOO not quite hot enought to make me feel the way he made Bella feel in the book but I don't think anyone can so I guess Rob is fine but NO ONE in the world is good enought or hot enought to fill the shoes of the real Edward Cullen!!!!
