I got off to a good start this week since I had a few days off work and I was able to knock out the first 3.The Virgin Suicides - Jeffrey Eugenides
The Dog Stars - Peter Heller
An Abundance of Katherines - John Green
I also started my next 2:
Infinite Jest - David Foster Wallace
This is How You Lose Her - Junot Diaz
I'll be reading other things concurrently with Infinite Jest since it weighs 67 pounds. I usually read several things at once anyway, and I won't be surprised if that one takes me til February to finish.
I was able to finish up This is How You Lose Her over the weekend. I also picked up M.T. Anderson's Feed and knocked that out really quickly. At the end of week 1 I've read 5 of my goal of 52, which puts me on pace for 260. Obviously I wont keep this pace up, and I'll probably put some serious time into Infinite Jest since I'm so far ahead of schedule.
Wow way to go! You're ahead of your goal. :D How was An Abundance of Katherines? I've heard great things about John Green.
An Abundance of Katherines was ok, I gave it a 3/5. John Green is a great writer, but this is probably my least favorite book of his that I've read. I was very conscious while reading it that I was reading YA. I think that with most good YA you forget while reading that it's even YA in the first place. I'd definitely reccomend John Green, but start off with The Fault in Our Stars or Looking for Alaska

I'll be updating at least once a week, and picking the books on the fly vs. planning them out at the beginning. Keep me honest and accountable!
