I hate having a broken elbow.

Ouch ;( So sorry, must be really painful...
Skating can be tricky, I once scrubbed the street with my face while attempting skating. Afterwards strangers where asking me if my fiancé beat me up. It was bad. I feel for you.
I hate that I have the same reaction to Sarah's pain that Nick does.I mean it's not funny.....
so why do I always laugh?
Banging my elbow always hurts worse than banging my arm. Does a broken elbow hurt worse than a broken arm? I need to know how sorry to be for you.
It hurts 5 out of 10. It's just really annoying. Plus, I'm probably endangering those in my vicinity because nobody told me NOT to drive, so...
I hope my elbow is better when I go to see Alfonso in two weeks!!
Bunny, I fractured my radial head.
Karen, I don't want you to lose your job and get your ass kicked at the same time, so...let's call the whole thing off!
Seth, thanks for your concern. :)

Marie, it is only natural to laugh when someone hurts themselves... think about every person you ever seen fall/slip/trip have you ever noticed the humor level increases if their fall was aided by something: skate board, roller blades, walker. It is just funny, and even funnier when you know their hurt.
No no. This is NOT natural. My best friend suffers from this social tick and I am constantly perplexed by it. I agree that it's hysterical when someone falls or gets kicked in the nuts in a movie or even on America's Funniest Home Videos. I laugh my ass off just like everyone else. But if someone actually gets hurt in front of you or tells you they got hurt it shouldn't make you giggle. It should make you feel bad for them. I think it goes into the same category with people who giggle uncontrollably when they get in trouble. There must be a scientific explanation because I do not believe that you people just don't give a fuck.
If they did not give you drugs I would go straight to the bar. At least get some sympathy sex. Be sure to clearly explain your condition to someone semi sober. Watch out for doggie style this month.
It's a minor fracture (just a crack, really), so the doctor said 3-6 weeks, so in my mind, I can take my splint off in two weeks. I guess I should play it by ear.
Gretchen - in my defense. I didn't laugh when we were leaving the rink and Sarah said her elbow hurt. I said "oh no" and I think I advised her to go to the doctor if it still hurt in the morning.and I while I did laugh when I saw her in the cast, I didn't laugh when I saw her swollen hand.
mostly I laughed because when sarah get's hurt it's in odd ways like getting her butt bit by a spider or falling over a 2nd grader at a skating rink.
I do "give a fuck" for sure.
but as they say "laughter is the best medicine" so really I'm helping her out by giving her medicine (and nagging her about putting the ice on like the doctor said and reminding her to wear the sling).
I am not bothered by Marie's reaction. When people fall down, I laugh. I remember when I was 18 and my friend fell down a flight of cement stairs and landed in a puddle at the entrance to a frat party. HahahahaHAahahHAhahah! I've been laughing about that for 14 years, now. I can so picture it.
Thanks Sarah and while we're on the topic of Sarah...I remember someone else she laughed at...ME!!! Once a very minor procedure went wrong for me and I had to be held at the doctors office and not allowed to drive home, so I had them call my best friend in my time of trouble and best friend (aka Sarah) showed up not only laughing but WITH A CAMERA and snapped shots of me in the wheel chair as they wheeled me into the elevator!
That was funny when you were in the wheel chair.
mmm well marie got the good drugs... where are your drugs montambo? Marie got the good stuff, I guess you will just have to self medicate.
I wish I would've had that gear on!
Marie, you don't have the thing I'm talking about then do you? Nick said it's only natural to laugh when someone hurts themselves. I was following that up by noting an example: I have a friend who laughs uncontrollably when people get hurt. It's not natural. She even feels bad about it and wants to stop lauging but can't. Then, when you look at her like it's innapropriate or tell her to stop, she laughs harder...apologizing the whole time and saying "It's not funny. I know. It's not. It's really not." She "gives a fuck" too so you have that in common with her. :)

I also hate how my doctor told me to take Advil instead of offering codeine. So rude.
