I want to have a Malazan name added for this group, does a mod do that? I'm thinking either Hellian or Paran Sedac.

Goodreads only lets moderators have the option of having a title. You have shown yourself faithful to this warren so perhaps the High Priest would consider initiating you into the Path of the Fallen. Or he may invoke the Reve and have my hands removed for suggesting it.
Of course you could probably add it by editing your own name - but then it would appear in all your other groups as well.

I thought it'd be helpful to add a few rules and frequently asked questions.
What is this group for?
This group is a place for those who want to read and discuss The Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson. Both new readers and re-readers are welcome!
Now that we've finished our 1.5 year read, I hope that the great discussion that has taken place will help anyone struggling with the books, or simply itching to discuss this excellent series.
Don't be shy about post in the threads for books we've previously read if you have a question or comment.
What is this reading schedule?
We purposely set a slower pace of approximately 4 chapters a week, which worked out to about 6 weeks each for books 1-5. Reads for books 6-10 were 8 weeks instead since they are longer.
Any future reads may or may not follow this pace/format.
The group is being run on Australian time (UTC+10), so weeks will be running from Mondays-Sundays (which will mean Sundays-Saturday for anyone in the states).
The group ran it's read of the Malazan Fallen series from 1/1/2013 until 5/4/2013 or roughly 17 months. For individual book / more specific dates please refer to the group bookshelf
Discussion Format
Each Book has it's own section. Each Chapter will have it's own thread. In addition there are sections for series wide and character discussion.
What do you mean by No Spoilers?
This means for anyone whose already read the series/has read ahead we ask that you don't post any details from later chapters/books.
To help accommodate our re-readers, it is acceptable to post spoilers/observations related to the current chapter, but please make liberal use of the spoilers tags. When in doubt, please use spoiler tags.
If you want to talk larger picture with spoilers please use the series discussion section.
It is fine to bring up things from previous chapters/books.
I've already read some/all of the series and I don't want to read all the books again.
That's OK! Feel free to join in for just the books you want, and discuss the stuff you've already read. We just ask you please respect the posting rules.

Sure! It's a public group and all are welcome. The more the merrier.
