So do you do New Year's Resolutions or not? If so what are some of yours? I love the idea of a fresh start and a chance to set some goals in place. I find that I always get excited about it but if I'm being honest my follow through sucks.
This morning I find myself doing a happy dance. The kids are going back to school. Yeah for me!! I love them to death but they were driving me nuts this break.
I woke up with the mother of all head colds and 3 exams coming up next week. The universe loves to screw with you doesn't it?!
It certainly does. I've had that head cold for almost two weeks now. It's a tough one. Mine's almost over but I had to get antibiotics to get thru it. Good luck on your exams.
thank you very much! and i totally get you with the kids, my little cousin went back today so no more babysitting. it's heaven!
My children started back school yesterday and it was wonderful!! Now I have the task of reorganizing the tons of stuff they got for Christmas.
I rarely watch televison but when I was sick recently I started watching Sons of Anarchy. Does anyone else watch this? I'm totally out of control. I have barely read in over a week. Just episode after episode of SOA. It's a darn good thing I never met a real life bike who looked like Jax or I would be living a really different lifestyle right now. :)

lol yeah I think Jax could do that to most women lol
Not to brag (well bragging a little) but it's 78 degrees where I live. Going to start working on my spring garden today. So excited. It's theraputic to work in the dirt I think.

Ahh I watched a bit of true blood (mainly because I wanted to know who eric was :) ) but since I just turned 18, I just couldnt get over the fact of how many guys she has falling all over her. (maybe ill watch when I am older)
I love the chill and the wind in winter. :)

My brother used to watch it with me now he doesn't, he prefers now to spent hours on his PS3. So now I watch it alone. Hahaha Pam seemed interesting. :P

I'm quite the fan of Supernatural myself & I just noticed another member who has Dean Winchester as her icon. The tv show True Blood is almost nothing like the books so you still may want to give them a try. I had read them first so I could not get past season one of the show. It drives me crazy when they stray so far from the book. My other "fantasy" type one that I love is The Walking Dead. Love that show. (although I'm pretty sure that if there ever is a zombie apocalypse I'm going to die on my watch while eating cookies & reading.....lol)
hahahaha....I really when tv shows or movies stray from the books I get why they do it but I want them to excatly how they are written. P.S I LOVE dean.
Agree why the do it I have order book one on the True Blood set and going by what you say I mite never watch season 5 :-) Wow three Dean fans need a Team Sam so he don't feel left out lol
So has anyone seen Pitch Perfect? My kids really wanted to watch it so we got it and I've watched it three times instead of reading Cinder. It is supposed to be an adaptation from a novel, does anyone know the name of the book?
I saw an interview about the movie with the director, Jason Moore and Producer Elizabeth Banks, where she said that the idea came from a book she read with her husband. When I tried to search for the title, I just got a movie tie-in, so I thought maybe someone else would know. I believe the book was non-fiction, but I'm not sure.
Other than catching a little here or there of what my kids are watching and I confess to watching the Lisa Kleypas' book inspired Hallmark movie, Christmas with Holly, I haven't really watched TV in about 3 years. Crazy, huh?
I'm doing laundry, cleaning, and hopefully writing on this sunny but very cold Sunday. Waiting for the Superbowl.
@Lisarenee, I'm with you on watching tv. The tv at my house is either on Disney channel, Nick, or ABC Family. I usually try to catch "Once Upon a Time" on Sundays with the kids and I watch "Arrow" and "Beauty and the Beast" on the CW off the DVR right before I go to bed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I stopped really watching tv about 4 years ago.
One of my favorite things in life is to hear a baby laugh I have no idea why but it just tickles me. Anyway I was sharing this thread in another group and it is a oldie but goodie.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjXi6X...
Plus that baby is so cute! It just makes my day.

Every time I see something like this I think that I want another baby. That only lasts about 5 minute but still......lol
Ok spring is in the air. I know we have a lot of gardeners on here. Anyone got their stuff in yet? What are you planting this year? I have seedling all over my house. Our weather has been really warm this year so I could've moved stuff outside already but we have a family tradition not plant outside until Good Friday. Not sure I'm going to make it that late this year though.
Spring should be here, but we're supposed to get flurries either today or tomorrow. So sick of winter. But, I'm getting a jump on my cleaning, so I suppose, that's a good thing.
I am planning to start working on my garden around the end of the month. We still have really cold nights so I should start my seeds inside sooner than later I guess.
It is just me or can others believe it is already March? Normally I read a lot more than I have this year I feel like I am reading slower. Anyone else feel this way?
I can't believe it either Dawn. Kids are on Spring Break before spring this week and need to come up with some activities for them to do.
Our Autumn here in NZ is definitely making itself known. Nights are cooler, days getting shorter - even had our first frost of the year! Gaw I Love Autumn
