Lori Criminal by Karin Slaughter (Library) I love the Will Trent series. Ms. Slaughter writes the best flawed characters that we still love.

Lori Time Flies by Claire Cook (Library) In this story a fairly newly divorced woman goes back home for her high school reunion and discovers she really doesn't want to go back. Good story, many references to music and makeup that I remember from high school.

Lori A Light in the Ruins by Chris Bohjalian (Library, Audio)I really enjoyed this mystery that flips back and forth from during the war to several years after the war. Good story telling.

message 54: by Lori (new)

Lori #12 One Hot Murder by Lorraine Barrett (shelf) This is a craftsy square mystery and it was really good, basic premise was bullying and the consequences even 30 years later.

message 55: by Lori (new)

Lori A River in the Sky by Elizabeth Peters (audio) this was the latest in the Amelia Peabody series but it took place several years before the previous book. It was ok but I really wanted/ had hoped to read something about the characters after the last book, not go back in time.

Lori The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey (Library) I heard and have heard several people over the years talk about Dave Ramsey but had never read any of his books or heard him on the radio, so I decided to pick up one of his books to check it out. I liked his ideas and come to find out I was already doing most of it.

message 57: by Lori (new)

Lori Honeymoon by James Patterson (Library) I liked this story about a black widow, or maybe fiancee would be better.

message 58: by Lori (new)

Lori Letters from Skye by Jessica Brockmole (audio) I really enjoyed this story told through letters, the audio version had several different narrators and with the Scottish accent it was wonderful!

message 59: by Lori (new)

Lori Close Knit Killer by Maggie Sefton (Library) Another cosy knitting mystery. Reading these always makes me want cold weather and my knitting.

message 60: by Lori (new)

Lori The Drop by Michael Connelly (Library,Audio) I love Harry Bosch and this was no exception. This time Harry is set to help out the man who has tried to destroy him, Irving Ervin.

message 61: by Lori (new)

Lori #13 When the Wind Blows by James Patterson (shelf) this has been on my shelf for a very long time!! I liked the story of flying children, I would say it was his best or my favorite James Patterson, but I liked it.

#14 The Lake House by James Patterson (shelf) the second in the flying children series and this had a good finish to the first book.

message 62: by Lori (new)

Lori The Black Box by Michael Connelly (library, audio) this is the latest Harry Bosch and it was very good. Harry is solving a cold case that took place during the LA riots. Lots of twists and turns.

message 63: by Lori (new)

Lori #15 Second Honeymoon by James Patterson (shelf) good follow up to the first Honeymoon book. I enjoyed it very much.

message 64: by Lori (new)

Lori Vampire Dreams by JR Rain (kindle) a collection of short stories with the first being a Samantha Moon story. I am not a short story fan but I did like this.

message 65: by Lori (new)

Lori Heirs and Graces by Rhys Bowen (audio) the latest Georgie and Darcy story was wonderful!! I just loved every minute of listening to this story. Since there aren't any more out I may have to listen to this again.

message 66: by Lori (new)

Lori The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman (library, audio) I admit at first I didn't like it, but I kept listening and was sucked into the story. Probably being an audio book helped since I could listen to it while driving, I may have quit if just reading it. I did end up liking the story.

message 67: by Lori (new)

Lori The Bat by Jo Nesbo, (library) this was the first Harry Hole book and it has been finally translated into english. I really enjoyed it!

Still Life by Louise Penny, (audio) I absolutely loved this story. I reminded me so much of home! I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone.

message 68: by Lori (new)

Lori #16 Dockside by Susan Wiggs (shelf), I enjoyed this book. I don't read many romance books but I am enjoying this series.

A Hidden Witch by Debora Geary (kindle), this is the second witch book I have read from this series. I did finally get into the story and am now enjoying this series.

message 69: by Lori (new)

Lori Halloween Hijinks by Kathi Daley (kindle) I really enjoyed this story! I'm not sure how I found this book but I'm so glad I did. It was cute and cozy and I really liked the characters.

I enjoyed the first book so much I immediately downloaded the second book.

The Trouble with Turkeys by Kathi Daley (kindle) This was a cute story, it continues from the previous story and I really enjoyed it. I look forward to the next book in this series to be released.

message 70: by Lori (new)

Lori Life from Scratch by Melissa Ford (kindle) I am glad this ended up on my kindle, I enjoyed reading how this woman tried to find herself after going through a heartbreaking divorce.

message 71: by Lori (new)

Lori # 17 Corpse Pose by Diana Killian (shelf) I had the first 3 books in this series sitting on my shelf years and I don't know why I didn't read them?! I obviously was crazy because I enjoyed this book so much I walked around the house reading it. Now I really want to sign up for a yoga class.

message 72: by Lori (new)

Lori Red Tide by Peg Brantley, (kindle) I think this was a free download, I must have been. I really enjoyed the beginning of this book, but about a third of the way in it just started getting stupid. I felt like she was throwing in every plot she had ever thought about and it took away from the original story. This could have been a great story.

message 73: by Lori (new)

Lori # 18 Dial Om for Murder by Diana Killian (shelf) I'm so happy I had this book ready to start as soon as I finished the first book. This story was just as good as the first. I love this series!

message 74: by Lori (new)

Lori The Reckless Witch by Debra Geary (kindle) I enjoyed this third book in the modern witch series. I think the characters are growing on me and now I want to know how everyone is doing.

A Witch Central Wedding by Debra Geary (kindle) this was a short story and it covered Lauren's wedding. Lauren became engaged at the end of The Reckless Witch, it was a nice filler.

message 75: by Lori (new)

Lori I don't think I'm going to reach 75 off my shelves but I'm up to 103 total books.

message 76: by Lori (new)

Lori #19 Murder on the Eightfold Path by Diana Killian (shelf) I have really enjoyed this series. I know there is one more to read, but it's not sitting on my shelf and I'm not allowing myself to go to the library this month.

message 77: by Lori (new)

Lori #20 The Cove by Catherine Coulter (shelf) I read one of the other books from this series years ago and I remember really liking it. This is the first in the series and although it was ok, I will continue to read some more of them.

message 78: by Lori (new)

Lori The Cruelest Month by Louise Penny, Bipod. I have loved this series. I don't understand what took me so long to find it, but I'm sure glad I have!! The narrator is fantastic and for that reason I will get all these books in audio format.

message 79: by Lori (new)

Lori A Rule Against Murder by Louise Penny, Bipod. Once again another stellar story. I love how Ms. Penny delves into what makes us tick and how something small can grow and fester over the years. Excellent story!!

message 80: by Lori (new)

Lori I'm now up to 108 total books! I would like to read at least 25 off my shelves before the end of the year.

message 81: by Lori (new)

Lori Silent Echo by JR Rain, Kindle. I have read the Samantha Moon books by this author and really enjoy them so I was hesitant to read this one. I was pleasantly surprised, the main character is dying from an Aids related cancer and has been asked to investigate a death. It was well told and I enjoyed the story.

#21 Snowfall at Willow Lake by Susan Wiggs, shelf. I did not enjoy this story as much as I have the other stories in the series.

message 82: by Lori (new)

Lori The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny, I love these stories, I have been listening to them and the narrator is fantastic.

A Nomadic Witch by Debora Geary, Kindle. I have been enjoying these stories.

One Imperfect Christmas by Myra Johnson, Kindle. Nice short story.

#22 Fireside by Susan Wiggs, shelf. This story was better than the previous one, in my opinion. It was probably just that I liked the characters more.

message 83: by Lori (new)

Lori Takedown Twenty by Janet Evanovich, Kindle. I know the stories are the same over and over again, and I kind of wish that she would make up her mind and choose between Ranger and Morelli. But I still enjoy seeing the characters again and I still get a thrill from Ranger, sigh!

Bury Your Dead by Louise Penny, Bipod. This was maybe my favorite of the stories so far, this time there are several stories going on at a time and Gamache is separate from Jean Guy but I loved it!! Once again the narrator was fantastic.

message 84: by Lori (new)

Lori Lethal Outlook by Victoria Laurie, library. I have missed reading this series and I was so happy to find this book at the library.

Holiday Bound by Beth Kery, Kindle. This was way different from my usual reading material. It was ok but not I think, something I will look for regularly.

Divergent by Veronica Roth, Bipod. I have heard so much about this series that I was finally curious enough to give it a try. I liked this first story and I'm curious to see what will happen next.

message 85: by Lori (new)

Lori The Cricket on the Hearth by Charles Dickens, Bipod
This was a nice story with traces of Scrooge, the narrator was fantastic!!

Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris, library. I didn't want to read this last book for a couple of reasons, first I read several bad reviews and secondly I didn't want the series to end. I am glad I did finally read the book and I did like the ending to this series.

message 86: by Lori (new)

Lori The Hangman by Louise Penny, Kindle this was a short story with my favorite characters. I loved it!!

Christmas Crazy by Kathi Daley, Kindle. I liked the first 2 books in this series but I will still look for the next book in this series. I like the characters.

The Last Page by Libby Fisher Hellman, Kindle. This was a novella, cute story. Would like to read more with these characters.

#125 (total) Murder on the Half Shelf by Lorna Barrett, library. I really like this series and the characters. I wish Tricia could get her love life together but this one ended with a cliff hanger so maybe in the next book she will. Luckily I picked up the next book at the library a couple of days ago!!
