What are you reading? (part drei)

I enjoyed it. I have a fondness for druids. Nice world building and cast of characters - especially Meryl and Stinkwort. The fey-elf rivalry was..."
I liked Unshapely Things too. I just found books 2 & 3 at a used bookstore recently so I need to get back to it.

I know this thread is for discussing what you're reading at the moment but a book get stuck in my head and I just can't remember the title or the author and it's driving me crazy :) so I thought I'd ask and maybe someone here knows it
I've read it a while ago but only remember a bit about the storyline:
it was a paranormal romance (for the main characters let's go with 'the guy' and 'the girl' - cause it would be just too easy to find it if I'd recall their names :S)
the guy was a bit older then the girl, and went away for a while to London (I think)and the story starts when he arrives back
the girl has a secret of course: a woman appears in here room and wants here to find an amulet/crystal/necklace of some sort
(again don't remember much about the woman, I think she was of some other species and one they were not so fond of)
the girl felt that the guy abandoned her when he went away but they started to get closer to each other and just when they were about to sleep together for the first time (which was her first time by the way) she started to turn to mist (which was a bad thing, aside the obvious reasons :D, I don't remember why exactly, but maybe she was a halfling, related to the shebitch who wanted her to find the thingy)
the girl left the room in a hurry, the guy was worried that he was rough with here or hurt here....and basically this is all I remember, I know it's irritatingly vague but I really liked it and wanted to find the author and read other books from her....so I though it was worth a shot
thanks in advance
Shad

You could also ask in the group What's the Name of That Book

Dragon shifters?? How is it?"
It was interestingly good :)))
A PNR though, as each of the next 2 books has a different couple. It is aptly series named The Hidden, as all the super stuff isn't known by us muggles. Even the heroine didn't know she was a dragon. LOL. I enjoyed it and I've preordered the next 2 books.

no probs ;) thanks though

I was glad that I got it through the library.

That sucks I totally hate that! Thanks for the heads up though, I will wait for the library.

That bad eh?"
It was ok, but it wasn't the joking Jeff that we have gotten to know. The good thing is that we got to know the werewolves better.

Just finished

I had an advanced copy of The Line and you know I really liked it! I could not believe this was his first book. This was the first book in a long time where I was very surprised by the twist at the end.

That's good to know. I got an advanced copy of The Line as well. I will have to move it up on my TBR list.

The Line looks interesting, but that cover is absolutely horrible! They should have gone with the other cover.

Was The Emperor's Edge good. I've read her new series Rust and Relics which is UF but I was curious about her fantasy.

Totally agree
I do not think I saw the other one.

You should it started off a little weird but he has an interesting writing style I will be interested to know what you think.

For 99 cents I am willing to give it a go. I love romance and to often you just get sex.

You finished just in time, because a new book comes out in the next couple of weeks.

Totally agree

The other cover is listed as a photo on the book page, at least I assume it was the original cover prior to publishing.

I'm actually stuck in the middle of the first one. Same thing, angsty non talking, at least that's what I remember. Will get back to it eventually.

I will take a peek at that. The one thing I can give it credit for is if I saw this in a book store I would be likely to pick it up like what is this line and why is there a water fountain.

This is what annoys me about PNR! I just started Shadow's Claim first why is this the cover?? Who is this guy supposed to be it looks like contemporary romance. Moving on I am only about 1/4 of the way in and already our lovely heroine is in love with her best friend who clearly is not in love with her. Yet she knows she is a Bride and what that means but nope she wants to pine for the best friend who really is just a man whore. You cannot even be mad at the best friend because he is honest but she is in denial. Why is this a good plot line?? Everyone loves this book so I am hoping it gets better.
