The Stand is one of my favorite King books.
I also think that Molly Harper books are better to read in audio, the narrator does a great job!
Lisarenee wrote: "I looked for Wild Invitation the other day and couldn't find it anywhere. I may need to order it."That is weird, you think that it would be easy to find.
Darcy wrote: "...The Stand is one of my favorite King books."My favorite Stephen King book now that is tough lol I think it is still Misery or maybe Needful Things
Anyway I am reading the uncut one and I have very different thoughts about it as an adult vs the teenager I was when I read it the first stim. But jeez it is VERY long like 1200 pages

My other favorite is Salem's Lot. I have the uncut Stand, but did a re-read with the audio last fall. It was somewhere around 40 hours. It seemed like it wouldn't ever end. lol

Salem's lot was a good one I forgot about that ...you know I did enjoy Cujo too
Dawn wrote: "Salem's lot was a good one I forgot about that ...you know I did enjoy Cujo too"I haven't read Cujo in so long, I think I will be checking to see if my library has the audio of that one.
Alisa wrote: "Erica wrote: "Well I gave up on Beautiful Creatures because I just could not get into it. Now I'm reading Fifty Shades Darker. And I'm almost done. All the talk about the Fifty shades books got me ..."I completley agree. I am almost done with the second one and then I'm on to the third. A coworker is letting me borrow them. I'm lookign forwar to see how this story develops.
Sandra wrote: "I do love Secret McQueen ;)"Me too! She's a great character and the stories are excellent.

This is the third book in the series. Each book gets a little better. I really like it. The author does a good job of introducing new characters..."Actually Alisa I haven't read
this yet either! I'm not sure why I keep looking at it and then dismissing it. For everyone that has read it, is the series worth reading ?
I'm currently reading
because I heard it was really dark. I'm about 20% & no dark so far. Not a bad story though.
Sandra wrote: "Mandy, if you are in the mood for a bit of light fun, then the Argeneaus' are for you."Thank you Sandra!
Read
last night. I liked it but here is the think I thought in Tanners Scheme it said that Cabal was not mated hence his playboy ways. How then could he have been mated for 11 years. That was weird. You know what else is weird, i feel like early on there was talking and laughing between the hero and heroine BUT not it seems all about 'damn you' and I am loosing my control...is it just me?? The saving grace is the over arching theme is so much better.
Ok back to my scheduled reading.
I've forgotten all the details, cause its a while since I read that one Dawn, but I remember I didn't think it was one of my favs of that series.
I am halfway through
and almost halfway through
. Heart of Stone is interesting - I have been in a gargoyle mood lately between
and
. Alban is an interesting character and I look forward to finding out who is behind the murders. Drive Me Wild is very enjoyable so far - I've only read one other book by Christine Warren which was
- I enjoyed Rafe's appearances in the story so I am very excited to read his story.
Sara wrote: "I am halfway through

Alisa wrote "Alchmestic sounds good. Going to add that to my tbr pile."It was. A bit rough in places but enjoyable. The gargoyle protecting the family for generations was interesting.
I have a stack of books to read but just can't figure out what to start. I spent last night watching back to back episodes of The Walking Dead & tonight catching up on Sons of Anarchy. Thought the break would help me decide but it really hasn't. Too many things I want to start (which I guess is better than nothing I want to start). I think I'm just buying time till Tues when
and
come out.
Finished
and
. I loved both books - Heart of Stone starts a bit slow but picks up in the second half and my only complaint of Drive Me Wild was the abrupt ending - I felt the story could have used more time. Now I'm on to
.
Hey all it's probably been a month or more since I've lasted posted, my hard drive in my computer died and well it's hard to post books on your phone. Since March started I have read
I have
and
to read until Tuesday, which should be renamed Super Release Tuesday as so many of the series that I follow come out with new books. I will be visiting audible at the crack of dawn to download
, while waiting for a bunch of others from the library.

I've pre-ordered a couple on my Kindle. I'm already thinking about calling in sick to work...lol I've read the Deadwood series. Light reads but pretty good.
It does seem like there are a couple of times a year where there are Super Release Tuesdays. I love it because I get great books, hate it because it is hard to decided what to read where there are 5 or 6 to choose from.
This is one of our April BOM's and it's $1.99 on kindle right now.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005...

and then when I'm done I'll figure the rest out. A lot of good stuff Tues.
Alisa wrote: "I kind of like to spread out the joy (& the expense). I'll be going right to Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11)and then when I'm done I'll figure the rest out. Sometimes it is hard where there is a book everyone is reading.

Awesome thanks!!
Finishing
It sucks I did not finish
before it was due but it has disappeared from my kindle and now I am back on the listI started
Not sure Mated to the Wolf is going to make it. So far and I am a chapter in and it seems silly. Over all though I cannot seem to figure out what I am in the mood for. It does not help that my last batch were all fantastic!

Bummer, another one not available in my country :(
Alisa wrote: "How's the Anthony Bourdaine one? I love him."I am enjoying it, he is very funny. I checked out both the audio and the book but I have to say I like the audio more because he narrates his own books.
I just finished
For me it lived up to the hype (& I was worried after the last book). I loved it. I'm devoting the next few weeks to reading series that everyone but me has read. First up with be Highlander, Immortals After Dark & Sentinel Wars. Haven't figured out in what order though yet.
Dawn wrote: "Sandra wrote: "Reading
and very happy about that."That is a new one let me know what you think."
Will do ;)

I have some Audible credits I need to use. I think I will use one for this then. I'm finding I'm not a big fan of audio but I think I would like a book he narrates himself. Have you read any of his other books?
Just finished Grave Secret and currently reading Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald, then starting Deadly Sting or Kitty Rocks the House.
I am currently reading the 6th book in the House Of Night series.Does anyone have an thought on this series, if you have read it?
Destiny wrote: "I am currently reading the 6th book in the House Of Night series.Does anyone have an thought on this series, if you have read it?"I've read some of these. Haven't read the last few tho. But I like the series. Not the best written books but they are fun and interesting. I also like that they are an easy and quick read. I want to know what happens. I just got Awakened given to me so I'll be reading that one soon.
I'm currently reading Fifty Shades Freed. I haven't had much time this week to really read tho. I want to read this one to see what happens. And then I have several books to choose from after that. I really need to stay away from bookstores but I know it probably won't happen haha.

Anyway if you like his show then I think you will like the book. You should try and see if you library has it.
This is my first book by him but after this one I definitely plan to read Kitchen Confidential.

I looked for Wild Invitation the other day and couldn't find it anywhere. I may need to order it.
