I'm reading Magic Rises right now...just finished In Flight (Up In The Air, #1) by R.K. Lilley , it was a lot like 50 Shades

message 354: by Alisa (new)

Alisa I've recently read Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6) by Ilona Andrews which I loved.

Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee which was picked by someone else for me in a challenge. Great book. I was really pleased w/this choice.

Also read Lick (Stage Dive, #1) by Kylie Scott I wasn't sure about this book before I started it but it was SO good. Totally not how I thought it would be (in a good way).

I'm reading Royal Street (Sentinels of New Orleans, #1) by Suzanne Johnson , and it's very good. I will definitely continue this series.

I also just finished my reread of No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole . Which I loved just as much on the second time around.

Kryptonite (sg34) | 406 comments Gonna start the reread Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (Immortals After Dark, #4) by Kresley Cole

message 359: by Ren Puspita (new)

Ren Puspita (renpuspita) Lady D, I also love No Rest for The Wicked. Sebastian, yum!

I'm just reading The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker , which is very great and as for me, it's underrated :(. Also Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews , which is great too. I'm glad I took a chance to read it, despite book 1 and 2 just okay for me.

Also Kiss of the Night (Dark-Hunter, #5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon , giggling over the purple prose and shake my head for the pregnancy tropes. But I love the Atlantean myth behind the story

Paganalexandria | 354 comments I sense re-read theme because just started A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) attempted to read VIII by H.M. Castor but i couldnt get into it, so i put it down and started reading Broken Illusions. Ellie James by Ellie James which so far isnt to bad though a little young in the way the characters talk and behave.

We're doing a whole series reread on the Immortals After Dark group. It's really great to dive into this series for the second time. It stands up just as well to rereading.

message 363: by Kyami (new)

Kyami (kyamis) | 17 comments Just finished Floor Time (Stewart Realty #1) by Liz Crowe . It was okay. I was frustrated with both the male and female leads. I kind of wanted to smack them both upside the head all through out the book.

I finished Mercy Thompson: Homecoming late last night and loved it! Just amplifies my love for the Mercy Thompson books and Patricia Briggs in general.

I also finished Pacific Vortex! yesterday. Pretty good.

message 366: by Paganalexandria (new)

Paganalexandria | 354 comments I just finished Undeniable (Undeniable, #1) by Madeline Sheehan and it blew my mind so much, immediately began Unbeautifully (Undeniable, #2) by Madeline Sheehan when finished.

message 367: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Not quite Part 2. But I've just started reading The Warlord Wants Forever. It's my first Kresley Cole, so I am keen to follow the re-read. I have a voucher from Kobo and I want to use it but just don't know what to get next??. Any thoughts would be most welcome.

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) kind of read Broken Illusions. Ellie James by Ellie James , I mainly just skimmed it until the end, it was just a bit to YA for me.

I just finished an ARC for Fatal Strike, and it was really good. I need to go back and read the earlier books after Behind Closed Doors and before One Wrong Move. Definitely great for sexy, sometimes cavemanish but very loving heroes.

I started Cowboy Justice, and it gets right into the suspense.

namericanwordcat | 242 comments I finished my reread of Rock Chick Rescue. Liked it but still think the ending is lame. I don't care that the next book starts two days later.

I'll be starting Acheron (Dark-Hunter, #15) by Sherrilyn Kenyon soon to be ready for Styxx next month.

message 376: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Loves 'Em Lethal (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 9851 comments Mod
Still need to read Acheron. I need to get back into that series. I took a long break!

message 377: by [deleted user] (new)

It really is the best book of the series in my opinion, I'm hoping Styxx will be at least nearly as good. I took a long break too, that's why I'm rereading up to Acheron.

It will be nice to get back into the DH world, because I miss them. I hope you enjoy Styxx, Traci.

Started Lord of Scoundrels (Scoundrels, #3) by Loretta Chase . I haven't read much historical romance before but I don't know why. My favorite classical romance book is Jane Eyre.

message 380: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Loves 'Em Lethal (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 9851 comments Mod
Ironically enough, those are my two favorite books of all time: Lord of Scoundrels and Jane Eyre!

message 381: by [deleted user] (new)

Doesn't surprise me. I was recommended the book because I like Jane Eyre. And there is something in the language that reminds me very much of it. Also, Dain reminds me of Rochester (and the Beast) too. I'm loving it so far!

message 382: by [deleted user] (new)

Can't say it enough, but Lord Dain is one of my all time fave heroes!!

I guess that's obvious, but me too!

message 385: by [deleted user] (new)

Me three. ;)
Lord Dain really made the book for me.

Now I'm finishing Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward . I had tried this book once before but found it too confusing. But I'm enjoying my 2nd try. The names are still a bit much though.

message 386: by Angie Elle (new)

I just finished rereading Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night and I loved it the second time around again. An epic kind of love story with a lot of obstacles in the way of the HEA.

One of my favorite books (and heroes) that I am planning to read again soon. I need to get caught up with the series. I stopped around book 5 I think.

Finished Dark Lover and started Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward . I like this one more. I love Rhage!

message 391: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 63 comments I feel like it's been forever since I've read a historical, and now I have an overwhelming urge to read one! I'm going to go with My Wicked Marquess (The Inferno Club, #1) by Gaelen Foley since Gaelen Foley is one of my very favorite historical authors!

@ Angie: HR is like my first love. It usually draws me back if I haven't read any in a while.

@ Traci, IAD is definitely one of my top favorites.

message 393: by [deleted user] (new)

Finished Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #3) by J.R. Ward . Hate to say it but this is my least favorite BDB book so far. But definitely going to continue... for now.

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) finished my first skulduggery book Kingdom of the Wicked (Skulduggery Pleasant, #7) by Derek Landy and i have to say im now offically a fan!!
