This series of Nora Robert was probably my favorite of all of her series. Enjoy!

Rachel Annie (snapdragoness) Just picked up the Tied with a Bow anthology from the library. A bit late for holiday-themed reading, but it looked good!

I just finished three books (I guess having a cold has allowed me to rest more and actually settle down and read):

How to Entice an Earl

Calculated In Death

Once Again a Bride

message 59: by Iliada (new)

Iliada | 38 comments The first book I finished in 2013 although I had started it in 2012 was Almost Heaven and I'm now reading The Bridgertons series by Julia Quinn. I'm currently in book 2 The Viscount Who Loved Me.

I'm reading Beast, in which the hero is 6'5, hard body with very scarred face. Heroine is a bbw and they develop a friendship working out that turns into love. Good book!

I finished Beneath the Dark Ice and it was a good action/adventure creature feature. The monsters were super-duper creepy and icky. The hero is a Spec Ops guy with enhanced abilities due to a bullet in his brain. High body count but very good.

I am about to start Play of Passion. Finally trying to get caught up on the Psy/Changeling series.

Lexi ♥♥Kitty Noir♥♥ | 11 comments My first read of 2013 was Touch of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #5) by Diana Rowland

Good luck with your school, Stefanie. I know you'll do great. Just give yourself at least a little reading time to keep yourself relaxed. Even it's a few minutes before bedtime.

I finished Play of Passion by Nalini Singh, which was good. I love this series.

I started Bayou Moon by Ilona Andrews, and it's great so far.

Both books are my favorite too LadyD :)

So far for 2013 I had finish Wet & Wild (Viking II, #4) by Sandra Hill The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1) by Maya Banks The Night Is Mine (The Night Stalkers, #1) by M.L. Buchman and Checkmate (A Neighbor from Hell, #3) by R.L. Mathewson .

Now into Good Omens by Terry Pratchett . I really miss my PNR books

Off to a good start, Ren. My sister and some others have recommended the KGI series. I am going to give it a try. How are you liking Good Omens? I have that in my pile.

message 77: by Mandy (new)

Mandy | 3 comments @Ren, oooh Checkmate was pretty good! although I must admit, out of the three books from the Neighbor in Hell series that one was definitely my least favourite. I found Connor to be a bit chauvinistic at times it made me angry haha

Cynthia, have you read any of the Immortals After Dark series yet? That is one of my all time favorites!

message 83: by Kryptonite (new)

Kryptonite (sg34) | 406 comments I'd second that on the IAD series.

I read that last of the Edge Series and found it a difficult read. But I'm still planning to continue reading this series.

It was pretty long-winded, but I still enjoyed it a lot. Really love William's character, and Cerise and her crazy family was interesting.

message 85: by Ren Puspita (new)

Ren Puspita (renpuspita) @Lady D, I found Good Omens is an entertaining read, but is too absurd for my liking. The event are randomly happen and I don't like how the author handle the apocalypse
I love Bayou Moon too! I think I like Andrews's Edge series than Kate Daniels :)

@Mandy : I'm not read book 2 yet, pass it to read Checkmate because I join reading games, lol! I agree about Connor. I prefer Jason Bradfords from hi. Since even Jason is bully, love his obsession with food, lol!

I just finish On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves , which make my Top Read this year! The POV switch is something that not new, either about their condition on the uninhibited island (which remind me a little bit of Life of Pi). Even the heroine older than the hero (by 14 years), I'm not disturbed by that fact. Really love both h/H' s voice

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 9851 comments Mod
I have heard really good things about On the Island. I think will read it for my "Blue Lagoon" book for the Movie Madness Challenge.

I can't say which is my favorite. I think I am just a stone cold fan of the Andrews' work, any way I can get it. I like the format of a new couple each book, that they use in the Edge series though.

I'll keep that in mind about the absurdity of Good Omens, and it read it when I am in the mood for that kind of writing.

message 87: by Leah (last edited Jan 21, 2013 01:24PM) (new)

Leah (horsenducks) My first read of 2013: Daughters of Rome (Rome, #2) by Kate Quinn Dangerous hero? Not really. Maybe kinda-sorta. But it was a Christmas present and a book I really wanted anyway.

I'm currently reading: The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1) by Patrick Rothfuss and bits and pieces of The Shadow Rising (Wheel of Time, #4) by Robert Jordan and maybe A Lady's Life in the Rocky Mountains by Isabella L. Bird Just boring things that I will probably never finish unless I read them while I have nothing else to read. Even so, I may not ever finish them.

I'm waiting for my latest order to come in:
Dragon Actually (Dragon Kin, #1) by G.A. Aiken The Duke And I (Bridgertons, #1) by Julia Quinn Empress of the Seven Hills (Rome, #3) by Kate Quinn

So excited!

About to start Scars by Kassanna

message 90: by Mandy (new)

Mandy | 3 comments All this good talk about "On the Island" is seriously making me reconsider giving it a go. I remember looking at On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves and thinking the age difference was just not for me(I'm not too keen on toyboys) considering taking the plunge and giving the book a read now!

Thank you. I read a lot of reviews on it, and the Amazon preview before deciding to buy it. I can't wait for it to get here!

@Kryptonite: Sorry I misread your post. So far William's is my favorite.

message 97: by Jean (new)

Jean (otakumom) I'm starting The Wicked Lover by Julia Ross -- more romantic espionage for me.

The Wicked Lover (Georgian, #2) by Julia Ross

And I just finished reading an advanced copy of the second book from the Montgomery and Armstrong series by Maya Banks. Wow. She really knows how to create a tortured heroine. It was quite heart breaking.

Highlander Most Wanted (The Montgomerys and Armstrongs, #2) by Maya Banks

message 98: by Kryptonite (new)
