YES I feel like I will look at my bookshelves and be like oh my goodness I walk by you every day but yet forget about them somehow... lol
Angel wrote: "Do people still use this...? P.S. I'm new to this site lol"Sometimes. Mostly people use the team chat threads or the main challenge thread. :)
This is the main challenge thread for this month. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...I think this thread will also help you. ^_^

Should I read the Shadow and Bone trilogy before I read Six of Crows? Because I started to read it without realizing they were from the same universe and I feel like there's no introduction to the world(?) like you kind of just land on it? Does it become understandable if you continue reading it or should I just stop and read it later?
Anyone else having a problem with the Goodreads homepage not showing the status update buttons? All of my percentages that normally show beside the book (the bar) are gone!
Krystal wrote: "Anyone else having a problem with the Goodreads homepage not showing the status update buttons? All of my percentages that normally show beside the book (the bar) are gone!"Mine are gone too.

On mobile app it is still fine, but on laptop it's gone. I really hope they fix this! It is certainly a pain to have to go to the phone to update when I'm doing my actual reading on the laptop.
Anna 'Bookbuyer' wrote: "That usually happens when they are doing a big update. Like when the year changes over. :)"Ahh, I've never noticed that before. Good to know, thank you!
Krystal wrote: "Anna 'Bookbuyer' wrote: "Krystal wrote: "Anyone else having a problem with the Goodreads homepage not showing the status update buttons? Yes. You can still do everything on the laptop it's just not showing your percentage. If you don't know how here are two different ways to do it.
Go to the book main page of the book your are wanting to update.
Method 1:
Hover over the currently reading thing under the book cover. It will give you the option to update your page or percent there.. But it doesn't let you change from page to percent if it's in the wrong mode.
Method 2:
Go down to where you review usually shows or where you status updates show on the main page.
Under progress you will see update status. This is where you can update and also change from page to percent if you need to. ^_^
Hmm. That first option does let me change the number but doesn't give any space to write the little blurb. The second option does open up a blurb space, but it makes you erase what you have already written.. So I'm not sure if it erases or saves. For example, I wrote the blurb for 22 percent. When I click on that update, it pulls up that 22% blurb and doesn't give me the option of writing a new one for a new percent..
Krystal wrote: "Hmm. That first option does let me change the number but doesn't give any space to write the little blurb. The second option does open up a blurb space, but it makes you erase what you have already..."Did you press update and refresh the page?
Anna 'Bookbuyer' wrote: "Krystal wrote: "Hmm. That first option does let me change the number but doesn't give any space to write the little blurb. Krystal wrote: "Anna 'Bookbuyer' wrote: "Krystal wrote: "Hmm. That first option does let me change the number but doesn't give any space to write the little blurb. The second option does open up a blurb space, but..."It's being weird. Let me try first since I don't really care if it erases it.
Yeah, it's being weird. Usually, you can see all your updates but for some reason, it's just opening to the last one. 🤔 Must be another glitch.

Anna 'Bookbuyer' wrote: "Yeah, it's being weird. Usually, you can see all your updates but for some reason, it's just opening to the last one. 🤔 Must be another glitch."Poop. Well, I'll just use my mobile for now. Hopefully they fix it fast.

Probably just a glitch from all the data that was changed over with the new year.

I'd triple check that the mobile is saving the changes as well. It would suck to find out it was also a mobile issue. ^_^

It it, thank goodness! The group would have to change a few rules if neither one worked! Sometimes I hate writing reviews at the end of a book. I love being able to do the status updates.

I have a love-hate with status updates. They are really useful but it also can take me out of a book as I don't always have my ipod handy and even if I do I don't always want to stop to make a note. :)

I do feel that way sometimes and that's when I find myself having to write the review at the end. LOL.

Does anybody know why it is when you put multiple holds on books at the library, no matter how far apart you put them in, they all come in at once?
Jora Jordan wrote: "Does anybody know why it is when you put multiple holds on books at the library, no matter how far apart you put them in, they all come in at once?"Never been to a library. Weird for a reader I know but they're all too far so I buy books online. So i can't help you. sorry. 😥
hi there fellow bookworms, i was wondering how exactly this group thing works? if i want to find people to read books with how would i do that? and also is there a way to recommend books? thank you so much for helping me and sorry for being annoying 😊
Hi Noa. If you are interested in finding people to read a specific book with you you can check out this thread. - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...As for recommending there is no specific thread for that but you can make a new post in the 'Book Talk' section. ^_^ - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
Also is the dog in your profile pic part Cavalier King Charles Spaniel? The face looks a bit like it. ^_^
Anna 'Bookbuyer' wrote: "Hi Noa. If you are interested in finding people to read a specific book with you you can check out this thread. - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/......"thank you!! and yes :) that is my adorable but not so smart cavalier
Noa wrote: "Anna 'Bookbuyer' wrote: "Hi Noa. I agree with that statement. When she chooses she can be smart but most of the time she chooses to be adorable instead. lol.
How old is she?
Anna 'Bookbuyer' wrote: "Noa wrote: "Anna 'Bookbuyer' wrote: "Hi Noa. Wow, 5. That's a great age. Still puppyish but not too energetic and mischievous. ^_^They do that right?! lol. Ruby my dog is one and she actually has a great grasp on most commands but she simply chooses when to listen to them. Like she is great at sit but she doesn't like to sit on anything cold or wet unless there is a treat. Then she is much more motivated. lol

sometimes he tries to eat a mosquito BEHIND the glass and we are like oh parker you are so dumb but then other times he does something so clever we talk about it for dayssss like bringing his bed to the basement during a thunderstorm or he is just making bad life decisions 😂 (like when he ate my birthday cake or a whole loaf of bread or a whole entire loaf of chocolate chip banana bread, which, by the way he didnt get sick from, amazingly enough)
sorry for the rant haha
