Jay | 16 comments Kindle it is then, thanks every one.

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments Yeah don't put too many books on it. It gets really slow, but I'm reading the books so it should be getting faster.

I just got a Kobo Aura H20 but I haven't really tried it yet so I can't recommend it. >.<

message 6204: by Tati (new)

Tati my kindle has over 600 books in it and I'm not having issues with it

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments I have apps on there too and I'm running out room. I have an 8GB, but only have 5GB because most of the apps are the apps that you can't deleted.

message 6206: by Connie (new)

Connie (sunstormsandthunderclouds) | 3978 comments I have a kindle fire that I've had for 3/4 years and it works brilliantly, I'm nearly 400 books and like 25 apps on it!

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments I have my kindle for about a year and I have problems when I have too much stuff on it. I think it might just be the generation I have.

message 6208: by [deleted user] (new)

I use an iPad for reading. I'm able to use the apps for Amazon and Barnes and noble and apple and have books between the different apps.

Jora Jordan | 260 comments I have a kindle, but ive had it like 3 years and it doesn't work very well and it won't hold a charge for more than a few hours. I loved it when i got it though. My mom has a linex and it seems to be almost the same thing but was about $100 less.

message 6210: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (6oh3) I don't know how you people read on a tablet. I need the actual book in my hand. It is a little more expensive, but I find it a lot easier to read that way. I have read a couple on my nexus though, I hate those "only e-book" books :p especially when they are part of a series

I prefer reading on my kindle, reading real books gives me a headache.

message 6212: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (6oh3) @sarah that's interesting. Usually I would assume it's the other way around

message 6213: by Amber (new)

Amber Johnson (pruel2003) | 169 comments I prefer the hard cover, but my wallet says paperback. I have iBooks, kindle fire, & the nook. I like free books and discounted ones. More books the merrier, and less $$, €€, ££, &¥¥ to spend...

Most people say that, I'm just odd ☺

message 6215: by Tati (new)

Tati for me, it's pretty much a necessity. I don't have the space to shelve all the books I read. Besides, I live in a country that doesn't speak English, and importing books is expensive and takes a long time

It's great knowing that your next book is on your kindle and that you don't have to go looking for it, or have to take 2 books with you everywhere!

I'm actually the same but I'm going away for the winter with my mom and she won't let me bring my usual suitcase of books so we compromised with a Kobo. I might partially covert after this as I'm liking the Kobo quite a lot. ^-^

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I found this amazing ASL interpretation of Adele's Hello and I LOVED it! You legit don't even have to know ASL as the actual song plays during it. The interpreter Molly could win an academy award for how well she portrays the emotions of the song! :D

message 6219: by Jora Jordan (new)

Jora Jordan | 260 comments Ive found that bying my books used was a lot cheaper than new and if you make a point to get the good quality used you can't even tell the difference from bying a new one. The only difference is the cost, in some casses it was actrually cheaper than the e-book.

message 6221: by Georgia (new)

Georgia Barr (georgiarose212) I think certain books look better paperback than hardcover so I generally base it off that.

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments I love the floppy paperback books

message 6234: by Mira (last edited Nov 14, 2015 01:38PM) (new)

Mira So, I recently started learning Spanish but on my own. I use Duolingo, Memrise (apps) and Language Transfer (podcast) and it's going well so far. I need to watch something in Spanish as well because that's how I learned most of my English it's worked out quite well for me. The problem is I can't seem to find shows or movies that I like in Spanish and if I do, English subtitles are unavailable or the site is not available in my country. I don't think telenovellas are my thing and they're all I seem to find and not even good ones. Can anyone help me with that? And if there are easy books I could read and good songs? Also if anyone speaks Spanish and doesn't mind helping me practice, that would be super awesome! Thanks guys :D

message 6235: by Tati (new)

Tati have you tried looking for subtitles on Subscene?

I can't help you with TV shows (they're not that popular around these parts, not in Brazil at least), but I've found this list of Latin American movies:

http://www.imdb.com/list/ls003792898/ (some of them will be in Portuguese, so you'll have to check where they were filmed)

Yes, I tried subscene but the ones I tried weren't on there :\
I'll check these movies out. Thanks a lot! :D

Samia Ruponti (snoebell92) | 451 comments another France query:

do any of you know how to get a phone+sim in Paris? I saw some very attractive deals, but all those were for 22 or 24 months. so I was wondering if those can be bought...or they would require any document for those contracts.... :-/

message 6243: by Tati (new)

Tati Usually, on European airports, there are machines selling pre-paid SIM cards. They're usually posted along the disembark walkways, so they're pretty easy to spot

And yay! Go Alice!

I'm currently planning on renovating my room but I just have so little space and too much stuff...i.e. too many books
