I've just graduated college and need to find a job in these tough times but I'm thinking a head. I love this site and am hoping to organize books in a way to help parents select excellent literature for their children. Has anyone done this and had success?

Also, I'm looking for a site similar to this but all the reviews are done by kids. Does anything exist? My google searches turn up "children's lit review" but not "lit reviewed by children".

Hello,

I don't know of any site that features a "children's review of literature," but the idea is fascinating. I don't think it would be too difficult to develop something like that. If there are no legal ramifications, you might also invite and include YouTube videos/podcasts of the child reviewing various books.

Check with public librarians or their professional associations about any sites that are targeted to parents for the selection of literature for their children.

Good luck and let me know if you create the child reviewer site so I can refer teachers and their students to it.

Bernadette (bernadettesimpson) The International Children's Digital Library
http://en.childrenslibrary.org/

allows readers (children) to review books on their site but it is limited to the international literature that is available online (for free reading!).
