Readathon

Goals for the weekend:
1. Finish "Game of Thrones" (for some reason it is taking me FOREVER to get through this book) its an ebook so I don't know how to figure out the actual pages - I'm on 1035/1433 whatever that means.
2. Reread "Divergent" so I can .... 501pgs
3. Start (maybe finish) "Insurgent" 544pgs
So, Andrea, I'm with you - lets just say 1000pgs. Happy reading everyone!
Tiffani so glad you are joining us for your first readathon! I think there are 4 or 5 of us here reading. It's a good excuse to let yourself indulge in some extra reading time.
Only read 15% (about 55 pages) last night. :/ Hubs turned on Breaking Bad (we're on Season 4 on Netflix) and I couldn't read during that!! Lol. Today should be a good, long reading day. Hubs won't be home. ;)
Out doing errands just got to the gym and I'm going to workout and then head home and I have to make a pumpkin pie and nothing else but read. I'm almost done with the book I started last night so I think I'm at 300 pages, 700 to go!
Today I finished The Raven Boys - 149 pages read.
Halfway through Claiming of Sleeping Beauty - 128 pages read.
Tomorrow is power day I guess. Lol. I would've liked to have read more today. Got sucked into a game, a movie, and housework. Booo. Tomorrow is just babysitting my nephew for a few hours.

Welcome to the Readathon, Tiffani! Some e-books have real page numbers, others have "locations" which are not like page numbers at all. Lol. I think you're reading a "locations" e-book. I read A Song of Ice and Fire books 1-4 in one Kindle pack. I was at 1% through for soooooooo long. Lol. When the percentage doesn't movie, it's really depressing! And those are long books.

Hope everyone else is getting some quality reading time in!
I had a great day reading even though most of my day was spent doing errands, going to the gym, cooking, and cleaning. I'm a little over 600 pages for the weekend and at that rate I should make it to 1000!
Woke up too damn early today so I started my reading at 6:30! This gross, rainy first day of autumn is perfect for reading.

I really enjoyed it! I am dying to start the next one "Insurgent" but I promised myself I would try to make some headway through "Game of Thrones."

I think we had this convo before, but I loved this book (and the movie - they are surprisingly different). Hope you are enjoying it.

Still, even though I didn't get to finish The Reincarnationist, I'm glad to have knocked out my other two goals... especially The Shining. Doctor Sleep comes out tomorrow!
How did everyone else do?

I spent too much time watching season 4 of Breaking Bad this weekend with the hubs. Lol. I finished The Raven Boys and finished The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty for a total of 375 pages read. Nowhere near my goal. Oops. Lol. Maybe next time!
I didn't hit my goal either but it was because I kept falling asleep while I was reading on Sunday! I feel just short at 887 pages....booooooo

Total for the weekend - 722 pages (not too shabby)
This has def helped me get back on track! Can't wait until the next one.

Unfortunately, in the last month, my husband and I made plans to travel to visit a friend we haven't seen in years and to meet her fiance... and that was the best weekend for everyone. So, I won't be around, but Andrea will be here to lead the readathon.
Good luck, everyone!
Forgot but I'm still up for it! Have a work cookout for the hub Sat afternoon but nothing else! :)
Don, typically we start our readathon Friday evening and it ends Sunday at midnight. We hope you can join us!
Welcome to the October Readathon!
I'm looking forward to curling up with some good books this weekend. Please feel free to come chat, read, and share your goals!
I'm going for the BIG 1000 page goal again - wish me luck!

:( That's too bad, Andrea. Get some rest and start fresh tomorrow!
I just finished Shades of Earth. What a great book and excellent finale for the Across the Universe trilogy. I don't think I'll be able to start another book tonight!

It does take a long time to read George RR Martin's books. They get pretty tedious because he rambles! Lol. The Outlander series is sooooo excellent!! I'm plowing through The Vow so I can get to Allegiant. :)

Glad everyone is getting some reading done. I am down and out with a cold. I hate when you are sick enough that you can't even enjoy reading. Boooooo!
Aww, Andrea, that sucks!! I was that sick last weekend. :( Just concentrate on getting better!
I had to charge my iPad last night, on which I was reading The Vow. So I started reading Allegiant on my Kindle. And I just realized I could've just continued reading The Vow on my iPod. Lol. Now I'm torn about which to continue with and finish first! First world problems. Lol.

I'm going to start with Rober Parker's Night and Day - a Jesse Stone Novel. A love Parker and was so sad when he died a couple of years ago. There are still books being published under his name by another writer that was given permission to continue his series. The style is similar but not exact.
