Readathon
This will be the first time I have participated in a Readathon. Reading all your posts has made me quite excited! I am so far behind on reaching 75 books for the year. Hopefully, this will help me get my butt in gear. Goals for the weekend:
1. Finish "Game of Thrones" (for some reason it is taking me FOREVER to get through this book) its an ebook so I don't know how to figure out the actual pages - I'm on 1035/1433 whatever that means.
2. Reread "Divergent" so I can .... 501pgs
3. Start (maybe finish) "Insurgent" 544pgs
So, Andrea, I'm with you - lets just say 1000pgs. Happy reading everyone!

Halfway through Claiming of Sleeping Beauty - 128 pages read.
Tomorrow is power day I guess. Lol. I would've liked to have read more today. Got sucked into a game, a movie, and housework. Booo. Tomorrow is just babysitting my nephew for a few hours.

Welcome to the Readathon, Tiffani! Some e-books have real page numbers, others have "locations" which are not like page numbers at all. Lol. I think you're reading a "locations" e-book. I read A Song of Ice and Fire books 1-4 in one Kindle pack. I was at 1% through for soooooooo long. Lol. When the percentage doesn't movie, it's really depressing! And those are long books.
Didn't have a ton of time to read today but I did manage to finish Contaminated. I'm not sure if I'll be able to knock out another whole book tomorrow, but I do plan on spending most of the afternoon reading at the library (no distractions!) so we'll see how far I get.Hope everyone else is getting some quality reading time in!

Hi all! I'm a little late to the party but I managed to get in about 54 pages of P.S. I Love You. I had stared it earlier this summer. Goal is to finish reading it this weekend.

I didn't get nearly the reading in this afternoon that I thought I would... only 100 pages in The Reincarnationist. Hopefully I'll get at least a little more in, but I won't be finishing it today.

I managed about 450 pages before getting distracted by last night's football game.Still, even though I didn't get to finish The Reincarnationist, I'm glad to have knocked out my other two goals... especially The Shining. Doctor Sleep comes out tomorrow!

I finished "Divergent" (434pgs per kindle) and started "Insurgent" (80pgs). I also read the 13pg short "Free Four" which is a scene from divergent told from the male lead's perspective. I tried to finish "Game of Thrones" but only made it about 195pgs before I had to take a break. I like the story line, but I am finding it tedious. I can't seem to lose myself in the story. Total for the weekend - 722 pages (not too shabby)
This has def helped me get back on track! Can't wait until the next one.
There's a week until our next readathon! Next weekend (October 25-27) was the most popular result on the survey, so hopefully people are still ready to spend some time reading!Unfortunately, in the last month, my husband and I made plans to travel to visit a friend we haven't seen in years and to meet her fiance... and that was the best weekend for everyone. So, I won't be around, but Andrea will be here to lead the readathon.

* Finish Shades of Earth (Across the Universe #3) - Beth Revis (E-Book purchase) 372 pages. 73% through (on page 267).
* Read The Vow - Jessica Martinez (Free e-book on pulseit.com that expires Monday) 432 pages.
And finally end the weekend with my most-anticipated new read!
* Read Allegiant (Divergent #3) - Veronica Roth (E-Book purchase) 384 pages.
Total Pages for Goal: 921 pages.

I just finished Shades of Earth. What a great book and excellent finale for the Across the Universe trilogy. I don't think I'll be able to start another book tonight!

Wasn't able to read any last night but hope I get a lot of reading in today. I'll try to finish The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters.
Heading out of town for the weekend, but I am going to try and get a few small goals in before the end on this readathon.1. First and foremost - FINISH GAME OF THRONES! Ugh I feel like I have been reading this book all year.

3. Hopefully start on Allegiant - Elyse, I agree. I am so excited for this book!
Goals for this weekend. 1. Finish Caleb's Crossing
2. Start A Discovery of Witches and get about half way through it.
3. Start Paris. I am sooooo looking forward to this one!
4. Last get through Mark, 1Corinthians and 2. I got behind on bible study reading.

It does take a long time to read George RR Martin's books. They get pretty tedious because he rambles! Lol. The Outlander series is sooooo excellent!! I'm plowing through The Vow so I can get to Allegiant. :)

Well, not much reading for me yet. Too busy getting through chores and errands, and tonight is family movie night. Tomorrow will have to be a reading marathon for me!

I had to charge my iPad last night, on which I was reading The Vow. So I started reading Allegiant on my Kindle. And I just realized I could've just continued reading The Vow on my iPod. Lol. Now I'm torn about which to continue with and finish first! First world problems. Lol.

I'm going to start with Rober Parker's Night and Day - a Jesse Stone Novel. A love Parker and was so sad when he died a couple of years ago. There are still books being published under his name by another writer that was given permission to continue his series. The style is similar but not exact.
