Jamie Sheffield (jamiesheffield) | 7 comments Hello Mystery Book Lovers,

My name is Jamie Sheffield, and I'm still pretty new to Goodreads, and just finding my way into the groups.

I have loved reading mysteries since I got my hands on an Encyclopedia Brown book when I was 8. I enjoy reading all sorts of mysteries, especially authors like Lawrence Block and John Sandford, and generally have 2-4 books going at any given moment.

I'm a Special Education Teacher in Lake Placid, NY. I live in a small house in the middle of a big forest with my wife and son and rescue dogs (Miles and Puck).

I love reading and camping and canoeing and cooking.

I wrote and published my first novel (a mystery) in the last year, and if you're interested, you can find out more about it on my GoodReads page (there's a FREE excerpt to download).

Thanks,

Jamie Sheffield

Ava Catherine Hi, Veronica, and welcome to the group! We are thrilled to have you! Teenage girls are lots of fun, but they keep you on your toes! The good thing is they keep you feeling young! ; ) We are so glad that you have joined our group. We love books, too!

Mel (bullet123) "Mel, I love everyone on your list. Have you read any Edmund Crispin, Anne Katherine Green, S.S. Van Dyke or Sax Rohmer?".

I've read a Violet Strange story but I think that's about it. I say "think" because I've got a few compilations and second hand books on my shelf and can never remember all the authors.
