The Faust story is believed to have been written sometime between the 1560’s to 1580’s by an anonymous German author. Early copies were written by hand in Latin, but in 1587, Johan Spies published a print version written in German.

We will be reading an English translation of that 1587 printed chapbook, which can be read here:

In case anyone is interested - in the process of getting ready for this read, I found out that you can download a plugin for Firefox and Chrome that sends any web page to your Kindle. There's probably a similar one for Nook. I much prefer reading on my Kindle to a screen, so this was pretty cool for me. (Plus, now I have it in my Kindle library and can refer to it more easily.) Search for "send to kindle firefox" or whatever and you'll come up with it.
