TEAM UPDATES

To view all the Teams, go in under More challenges... on the Home Page (right under the last visible challenge, lower right-hand corner).

That will take you this page .

You will have to go into each individual team to check their totals.

Expect a 30 minute delay in the totals update, if you just added a book.

Barb When I try to click on "this page" in your post, there's nothing there for me to click on. Is my computer acting wonky again, or is there something wrong with the link?

I felt really disappointed by that book though :( the ending didnt even shock me. I mean, City of Glass ended in a great way and Clare should have stopped there...I think I'll read the 5th book when the 6th book is out or just next month. I really want to read The Infernal Devices, steampunk!! (:

So next up!!
Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Good Morning A-Team!!!! (Is almost lunch hour around here, but you get my point)

So, I was checking and we now have 100 books read, wooohooo, GO TEAM!!!!

Book counting:

TEAM A: 100 books
TEAM B: 100 books
TEAM C: 95 books
TEAM D: 80 books

The teams are pretty close, so we have to make every book count - don't forget about the rules, or else our book total will decrease and nobody wants that.

Once more, Just to make sure:

◈ Only books started on or after January 1, 2013
◈ Books must be over 170 pages in length
◈ No graphic novels, manga, or children's picture books allowed

Seriously, you have no idea how sad it is having to ask someone to untagg the book since it doesn't fit the challenge - at least for me is sad, maybe I'm a softy.

Anyway, keep on reading - the book I'm currently reading was started before Jan 1st so it doesn't count for the challenge, but I'll be reading my second one soon enough.

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Alexa wrote: "I felt really disappointed by that book though :( the ending didnt even shock me. I mean, City of Glass ended in a great way and Clare should have stopped there...."

That's the main reason I still have City of Fallen Angels to read. I liked how City of Glass ended. It was pretty wrapped up, so a new one has to open to a new side of the story, and I was afraid that the story would suffer for that.

message 317: by Ellinor (new)

Ellinor (1001andmore) I have a question about the lenght of novels and different editions: I read a lot of books in German. In German most of the books usually have more pages than in English (longer words, more complicated structures etc).
The book I just started reading has more than 170 pages in my edition but in the English edition there are less than 170 pages.
Can I still count this book or is this not possible?

Yes! If your edition has more than 170 pages, it counts. Just make sure you have the right edition selected on Goodreads to reflect that.

Been there, done that! Although, sometimes I think GR adds a little extra when I post links, so maybe you can blame GR for your extra little space :)

I do remember! And I wouldn't be surprised if they're doing another overhaul; I've been getting "Alice" (the girl reading in a chair) an awful lot lately :\

Auggie (auggietalk) I decided not to read "First Grave on the Right" just yet. Just wasn't in the mood for it tonight after reading "The Vespertine".

So, I just finished Everneath (Everneath, #1) by Brodi Ashton .

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the book yet, because it's pretty late and I'm tired. It was good, and I enjoyed reading it... but I'm not sure how much. haha I'll know better in the morning!

Please do tell how you felt about it whenever you have time c:
I've got both of the books (Everneath & Neverfall), but I'm worried they're not as promising as the synopsis.

I loved Everneath (partly because I'm fascinated by Greek mythology) but there are pretty mixed reviews for this. I do admit the book moves pretty slowly, only picking up toward 3/4 of it though.

I gave it a 4/5 last night before bed because the ending was pretty fascinating.

However, upon morning light I realize that it's more of a 3/5 book for me. It was entertaining, and the storyline was good, but the characters were still really flat. I started feeling bad for the villain and irritated at the main character but was still interested enough to read.

Yeah. Definitely a 3/5.

Either the delay on the results and the checking on books that we're doing today has something to do with it, or we had a 15 book increase in the last 7 hours, way to go A-Team!!!
