I need to read Changeless one of these days. I read the first one a while back but I haven't gotten around to continuing with the series.

Gayle (gretarahikkainen) | 125 comments My Nook needed to be charged while I was at work, and I didn't grab a printed book to read while I was at work. Luckily, I work at a library, so found To Ruin A Queen (Ursula Blanchard, #4) by Fiona Buckley on the shelves and started reading during lunch. Put it back just before I left work because I know I have it here at home. So, I'm currently reading 3 books......which is something I hardly ever do.

TEAM B:1492
TEAM C:1583
TEAM D:1386

I'm going to check our books in a bit, so these numbers will probably be updated in a couple of hours.

Happy readings

The Lorelei James series is fun!

Yeah, it is so far :)

message 1560: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie (darlingdoor) | 1733 comments Finished up Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs and loved it! Getting ready to start Taken at Dusk (Shadow Falls, #3) by C.C. Hunter

message 1561: by Joyce (new)

Joyce (eternity21) | 478 comments I finished The Second Time Around by Mary Higgins Clark and starting Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor

message 1562: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I started reading Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout . It's going good but I have noticed some slight similarities to Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer . However, the MC definitely has more spunk than Bella and the love interest is a hottie (in a bad boy kind of way).

I also started A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, #3) by George R.R. Martin . I decided to skip the first two books (yikes!) for now because I've already seen the first two seasons of the show. I'm finding Davos's part a bit boring and Sansa's naiveté continues to irk me but they are growing on me with each chapter. Plus Sansa's new predicament is VERY interesting.

Lizz (Beer, Books and Boos) | 705 comments I haven't got any reading done this weekend. Maybe I can get some done tomorrow.

message 1564: by Mary (new)

Mary (merinwe) | 1043 comments @ Sashana
I've had Obsidian on my shelf for a while. I've heard really mixed things about it, so I'll be interested to see what you think.

I need to read A Clash of Kings. I'm totally the opposite of you, heh. I'm refusing to watch any more of the show until I've read it, as I don't want the show to spoil me. And I keep putting it off, because it's just so long...

@ Joyce
Hope you like Daughter of Smoke & Bone! The sequel is even better, in my opinion.

I have no patience lol. I told myself that I wasn't going to watch the season 3 premiere but I lied! Season 3 covers the first half of book 3 so I should be okay. Do you intend to hold off on watching until you get to book 5? Or until the series is completed?

message 1566: by Lala (new)

Lala | 98 comments I also started reading When Beauty Tamed the Beast (Fairy Tales, #2) by Eloisa James

message 1567: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie (darlingdoor) | 1733 comments Just finished hate-reading Chosen at Nightfall (Shadow Falls, #5) by C.C. Hunter ..I don't especially like this series but I can't stop reading it. I'm so weird.

Going with a YA palate cleanser next: Etiquette & Espionage (Finishing School, #1) by Gail Carriger

What's not to like about teenage steampunk spies?

message 1568: by Mary (new)

Mary (merinwe) | 1043 comments @ Sashana
I haven't thought that far ahead... I think I'll read book two, watch season two, read books three and book four, watch season three, etc. I'm not sure, though.

message 1569: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments I need to start reading those. And watching the show. :)

message 1570: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) I read quite a few on vacation. Hopefully they will help our numbers! I will post them all in a bit. Still sorting out from being away!

message 1571: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments So based off the last numbers that Sonia posted, we're 120-something books or so behind the leading team?

message 1572: by Mary (new)

Mary (merinwe) | 1043 comments Steven wrote: "So based off the last numbers that Sonia posted, we're 120-something books or so behind the leading team?"

Correct! However, the numbers probably aren't accurate, as we have some members that aren't tagging books. Sonia and I will need to go through people's bookshelves and send out PMs whenever we validate books next (whenever we have time, basically), and hopefully that will help.

message 1573: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Thanks, Paperback Pixie. :)

I'm trying to read faster, but pretty much all the books on my to-read list are 500+ page books. X)

message 1574: by Mary (new)

Mary (merinwe) | 1043 comments Then add some shorter books! :D Kidding. Just contribute what you can.

I know that feeling! The past month most of my books have been from A Song of Ice & Fire, and each book is about 1000 pages.

They're so good, but I finally gave up. George RR Martin writes sooooo slow, and I found myself forgetting the convoluted details of the story while waiting for him to publish the next installment! I'm just waiting until they're all out and then starting from book 1 again!

message 1578: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Isn't he writing the last one now? I might have to so what you're doing. Haven't started them yet... Won't be a big deal to just wait! Haha

message 1579: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie (darlingdoor) | 1733 comments 2 more, so we should be able to read them in 2027 lol

message 1580: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Dubois | 33 comments Just finished Masquerade (Heven and Hell, #1) by Cambria Hebert , really like this series so far.

Starting Charade (Heven and Hell, #2) by Cambria Hebert next and also started Savor (Warm Delicacy, #1) by Megan Duncan

message 1581: by Barb (new)

Barb Steven, wanted to let you know that I *did get approved for an advance copy of The King's Deception! Now I have to hurry and finish listening to The Jefferson Key so I can start King LOL It will be weird to read one of these, though; I usually listen to them, because I just LOVE Scott Brick's reading style :)

message 1582: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments Ashley Marie, ... You're probably right. Sigh!!! But that's okay. I am planning on interspersing them in between other reads anyways, so might take me until then to finish the current ones, haha!

Barb, yay that's great!!! You can always go bak and listen to it again later! I've not listened to many audio books. They just don't read at my pace and take so long. I have used an audio book narration to supplement my reading of a few books recently, since I got my Kindle Fire HD and you can add professional narration to books you own. That way I can make progress on some books while I'm at work and can listen but not read. But it's hard to focus on the story like I want that way!

But yay for Steve Berry early! :) I love Cotton Malone!

Lizz (Beer, Books and Boos) | 705 comments I am reading The Vampire Next Door (Strange Neighbors, #3) by Ashlyn Chase and I am liking it so far
