Welcome, Steven!I'm another Clue fan! It's my go-to movie whenever it rains. Mind you, here in Texas that's not as often as it was when I lived in Michigan.

Don't forget, you can count any book >170 pages that you've started since January 1 -- not just the ones you've read since you joined the team :) Glad to see someone else who enjoys Steve Berry; I'm listening to his The Jefferson Key right now so I'm caught up with Cotton et al before The King's Deception comes out this summer!

We're downsizing from a monstrous conversion van that was great for all those trips to/from college. But the kids have both graduated, and we just don't need a beast that big anymore. After 10 years of driving a boat, it's going to take awhile to get used to something smaller again LOL

Oh wow! We're so close to Team B! I forgot to do one last RaT update, but no worries. I definitely surpassed my page goal, as in the past few days, I've finished these four books:
The Rose Garden was definitely my favorite of the bunch. History, romance, mystery, and time travel all rolled into one. I've been slowly working my way through Susanna Kearsley's novels and I started Mariana today. It's so good. :-)

I just finished another one, so we're at least one closer!I am the Messenger was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I honestly liked it even better than The Book Thief, which I didn't think was possible.

It could really have benefited from some editing to correct issues of pace and contradictory plot details. It also has a reaaaalllyyy bad case of Mary Sue-itis. There were issues that the protagonists faced that should have caused way more angst and trouble than they did, because every time something bad happened either Sorcha or Merrick would miraculously develop a new and never before discussed "Deacon power" that would be the perfect solution to the issue.
I'll probably still read the next book in the series just because it's such an interesting premise, but this one was just meh.
Fun fact, though: It works for the Harry Potter Sorting Hat challenge/lion prompt if you're participating in it. Raed shapeshifts into the Rossin - basically a giant lion.
