Exactly, Barb! I wanted to spend yesterday and today working on this but my head had other plans yesterday so now I'm a day behind on all of my chores and creative plans, boo hoo.

Hello A-team!

Time to talk about March's Read-a-Thon.

As I said before, we'll change some things. And, since we really like to improve participation, I'm going to put to vote the week and starting date.

You may choose from:

1)March 8th PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4PM) to March 15th 8:00 AM (GMT 4 PM)
2)March 11th PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4PM) to March 18th 8:00 AM (GMT 4 PM)
3)March 15th PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4PM) to March 22th 8:00 AM (GMT 4 PM)
4)March 18th PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4PM) to March 25th 8:00 AM (GMT 4 PM)

Basically is choose between starting on a Friday or a Monday, and between second or third week.

I'll post the March RaT rules in a day or two, so you'll have a better ground to pick your vote.

The RaT week and starting date vote ends February 27th.

Happy Readings.

I hope you mean February 27? :)

I vote for option #1, March 8-15. My second choice would be option #4, March 18-25.

I have some health issues that have been particularly nasty lately and I've been feeling pretty under the weather. Thank goodness for audiobooks! Hope everyone has a good weekend filled with lots of reading! :-D

Gayle (gretarahikkainen) | 125 comments Finished The Lady of Secrets by Susan Carroll last night. Started Rival to the Queen by Carolly Erickson . Very odd coincidence that both books start out with someone being burned at the pillory.

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments Put me down for Option 2 on the RaT! That's spring break here but we'll see how it goes with my work schedule and possibly some family coming to visit.

message 1174: by [deleted user] (new)

I will join again, but I will not be adding a set goal to how many I will read. I will just read as much as I can and I don't care when the RaT goes on. :)

That IS odd!

message 1179: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Beyers (mandybeyers) | 173 comments Chugging along - the book I'm currently reading is one of the longer ones - 540 pgs., but it is the third in a fantasy series I love, so it won't feel that long as I read it.

Traitor's Moon (Nightrunner, #3) by Lynn Flewelling

message 1180: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I haven't been reading much but I just finished Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer . Prior to reading this book I was disappointed to hear that Cinder would have to share her storyline. I actually LOVED the dynamic that Scarlet added to the story. I also loved reading about Wolf. Yum!

message 1181: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Can the details for this readathon be posted in Message #2? It's easier to follow the updates that way.

I'd love to sign up for this one too!

message 1188: by Alexa (new)

Alexa | 118 comments I'd like to participate in this readathon too!! Might have to set a higher goal this time though, I think I exceeded the first one :)

And I honestly don't mind when we should have it.. so I'm just going to go with choice #2.

I'm only list the participants on the oficial RaT post, when the week voting is closed, ok? But don't worry, I got all the participants, I think. If I forget anyone, just say so and I'll add you, OK?

message 1190: by Diane L (new)

Let me know what you think of The Golden Lily!! I think what's keeping me from not reading it is Sydney and Adrian :( it breaks my heart LOL, Rose and Adrian were meant to be...(clearly not) but I always start liking characters together that don't even end up together. Sucks!

~

I've finished Play with Me by Piper Shelly and I'm halfway through Hallowed (Unearthly, #2) by Cynthia Hand
