Tower Team A: The "A" Team

Hmm, okay. I'll give it a shot, especially if I can buddy-read it! I don't know when I'll have time to get to it. My schedule = crazy town. Perhaps March? Heh.

The first one is one of the February BOM, I think.

Sometimes we do that... I'm trying to plan my weekend of reading and have no idea how I'm going to pull that... but.. is either do it that way, or not participate at all - NOT AN OPTION!

Yes, Sonia is right. One of our February books of the month is Déjà Dead, the first in that series. I'm not sure exactly when the start date is for it, whether it starts on the 2nd, 12th, or 23rd of the month. We're still working that out. We'd love for you to read with us!
Also, if Sonia and I buddy-read the first book of the Sookie Stackhouse series, we can create a thread here for it and you're welcome to join (as is anyone else)!

Laura, what did you think of Spell Bound? I love that series, but I had mixed feelings on the last book.

I love the series too, but i would have liked that the last book had lasted longer. It was little rushed, too much things was happening at once and the good guys won too easily.

I think the books are bit lighter than the TV show. However book #9 was kinda dark, but I remember starting the series before the show came out and thinking that the show was pretty dark compared to the books! I would give it a try and see how you like it! They're definately some romance in the beginning of the series!

My thoughts exactly!

Thanks, Suzanne! I'll go in with an open mind and see how I like book one.

I have no idea what to start next or if I should just take a break till the readathon..hmm I think I might aswell just be picking out books I want to read during the RaT.

That sounds familiar, Teresa! Not only do I work 7 hours tomorrow, but my book group meets immediately after work, so there goes another 3 hours *sigh* Thank goodness I have the weekend off; I plan to make up for lost time then :)

I've read a couple in the series. They are very different from the TV show. But I've enjoyed them very much.

Poor Barb! I find it amusing that your reading will be pushed back by your book club, haha.
I work until 5 PM, then there's dinner to eat and possibly a family game to be played so I may not even bother starting my reading until Saturday. Good news is, I'm off on both Saturday and Sunday!! I could easily do two six-hour sessions this weekend IF I really want to. That gives me plenty of time to do things like laundry and eat if I must.
Barb, what you said in your post about your marathon choices sounds a lot like me, too. I have a pile of books that I either need to read before the end of the month for another challenge, books that are due soon or books I'm in the process of reading. I think I need to plan my read-a-thon or something because if I just wing it I may not focus as much as I should.

Six hours on Saturday (26), Six hours on Sunday (27) (what if I end up reading more than six hours on Saturday, though?? Can I do a 12-hour thing and then two six-hour things if necessary?)
Finish my current read:

Finish

Start and try to finish

If I manage to finish these 3 in my first 12 hours total I will be pleasantly surprised and highly motivated to continue my next 12 hours ASAP, lol.

Less than 5 hours for the official start of our RaT week!
*throws confetti and pops champagne*
Work has been a little chaotic today, so I'll post the updates in a bit, maybe closer to the RaT kick-off.
@Alexa: Yes, the duration of the RaT is January 25th PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4PM) to February 1st PST 8:00 AM (GMT 4 PM), since you chose 4x6 reading periods you can pick any 6 hour period during the RaT's time.
@ilovebakedgoods (Teresa): I'll have to check with Mary on that.
@zina: As long as don't interfere with your reading time, or if you want to take a break you can pop in anytime, and tell us how is going, or anything you want to share.
Mary and I will be posting a mini-game a day, nothing mandatory or big time consuming, and open for all members of the A-team, not just the RaT participants, just a fun excuse to "team bonding" and to pop in and tell us out it is going for you.

Sorry about my first answer... when we live on a 10 million people country, our company has 6 million clients and our CEO decides that a campaign has to be out today, brain tends to short-cut.
As I explained to Alexa, since you decided on a 4x6 period, any 6 hour period is valid, they can be consecutive or not, it all depends on your mood or time available.
Any goals or times can be adjusted. As long as it isn't shorter than 6 hours, and the total amount sums 24 hours till the end of the RaT week, is good to go.

What did you think, Laura? I was thinking of reading it because I need an "U" author.

I had the same reason :D anyway it was one crazy book. Most of the time i was like whats going on, but the story was interesting and i couldn't stop reading it.

Readers prepare your books...start flipping pages... ready... :o)
2 hours and 25 minutes left... but who's counting?
:o)

So, I'd really like to join if that's still possible! I'd do 4X6 hours. I'm CET and my goal are 800 pages (at least).
