It all depends on the day. I have to read everyday, even if it is a chapter only. For me reading helps me relax. I always have either a book or my nook on me, sometimes both. There is always a book in my car just in case I need one. During my semesters at school I will read when I have down time or nothing to do.

Amanda | 4527 comments I try to read at least 2 hours a day.

message 53: by Loreta (new)

Loreta at least once a day when i can

message 54: by Megan (new)

Megan Brooker | 473 comments When I'm not very motivated I get about thirty pages done but when I like the book or am dealing with insufferable boredom I read roughly sixty to seventy pages.

message 55: by Erin (new)

Erin Latimer | 108 comments Depends on the book! Sometimes if I can, I'll read an entire book in one day! (But it has to be GOOD). I've lost a lot of sleep from reading books all night, haha.

message 56: by Mara (new)

Mara (maraanne) I always read at least 100 pages per day, unless I just plain don't have time (but that is, thankfully, rare). If I can, I read all day, stopping every 50 pages to go do something that is required, like unloading the dishwasher or folding laundry, et cetera. So long as I meet that 100-page goal, I allow myself to turn my attention to a new task.

message 57: by Emily (new)

Emily Anne (emilyannereaderrising) I read anywhere from 2 to 3 hours on weekdays. Normally that equals to 200-300 pages a day :)

That's great :)

WTF Are You Reading? | 8 comments I try to read 2-5 hours a day. If I have nothing to do, or I take a day for myself, I can read all day.

Erin Latimer | 108 comments Morganvillechic wrote: "no wonder you all finish books so fast i usually can't even fit an hour and a half in my schedule :-("

I find that I have to MAKE room, like actually write it down "read for half hour" in my schedule, or it won't happen. It sounds silly, but if I don't, I'll get lazy and watch TV. I never used to do that! I blame netflix!

message 61: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Lol Erin :) That's not silly. You are just easily distracted. I only watch TV about 2 or 3 hours a week (just my absolute favorite shows).

message 62: by Erin (new)

Erin Latimer | 108 comments I wish I was like that! haha. I have no self control *may be eating chocolate as she types this*.

message 63: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (dannieannie94) | 62 comments I read a book a day usually. That means if it's a 600 page book I will finish it. I am a fast reader and the only time I put a book down is if it's boring or I have to work or workout. But even with work and working out I can finish that book. That's why I always say you can tell how much I disliked a book by how many days it took me to read.

message 64: by Sofiraindrop (new)

Sofiraindrop | 425 comments if i do like one book, i read it in one day, but usually i read 250 pages

Erin Latimer | 108 comments lol, I'll stay up after I finish too! They're so scary! :D I made the mistake of reading IT before I went to bed one night. Yeah....bad idea.

Wow, same here, sometimes. I read A Great and Terrible Beauty after dark a few months ago, and at parts I was so scared... :)

message 98: by Emily (new)

Emily | 1597 comments I have this bad habit that once I start a book I have to know what happens! I sometimes read all day with just little breaks to make dinner and spot clean my house if I am not reading I am writing. Then at night I find myself thinking just another 10 minutes and it will be 2hours later I'm finishing the book! Or I wake up at 5am to pick it up and start reading again

My guilty pleasure as well :) I tend to forget everything once I start the book.
