For sure Dodson and Caleb are linked, but how?and I agree that Seth is the baby daddy! Oh and Leahs sister would be a good add too...drama drama drama!... poor Noah
Tarryn has stated in a previous interview that Leah will make some appearances in Thief but it's not significant. In regards to what's in the airport blue birthday box (wow, that's a mouthful!), Tarryn said that whatever the gift was-- Caleb was making his intention known. My guess-- the basketball from when he lost the game to get a date with her.

Holy &@$*#!....why did I read the teaser!!!!! Did we get a release date?...just the title alone gets you thinking.."Thief" who's stealing what or who? Listen, I really don't want Tarryn to rush the completion of this book. I want the roller coaster to continue and not disappoint with it being rushed.

In the Thief teaser, Caleb says that he let Olivia walk away in Rome out of guilt since Leah had suffered a miscarriage and her sister had attempted suicide.
And then when he asks Leah about coming to his hotel... I'm wondering whether this was before or first pregnancy or her second.

I'm also confused about how she fell pregnant if their relationship was strained after the trial. Because I remember Leah saying that there was "three months of silence" after the trial and Caleb hadn't even kissed her. Or perhaps that is what Caleb is talking about when he asks her if she planned to get pregnant when he came to the hotel? Maybe she came to his hotel when they were separated?
Does anyone else think that Caleb knew Cassandra/Cash before Leah introduced them?

Remember how Cammie said he smelled her, and Olivia referenced his height and oddness? He does have a weird way of continually showing up - perhaps he is the bad penny. (Sorry, couldn't help myself with that!)
Also, love your thought about Noah walking away! Sad for him, but ...Olivia and Caleb have suffered long enough.
Hi everyone! I think its either Noah is gonna die hero and the unconditional love of Olivia's life then after sooo many years then Caleb and her will have their happily ever after (dont know where to put Leah there) or, he's just gonna let her go and live in peace.Then is Dodson the one in the last part of insight in Olivia from Leah while she's watching tv? Im about rereading that part for nth time and i cant remember him,
And! And! And! Didn't you guys noticed about Caleb's confession about the ring from Olivia in OT to Leah in DR? Caleb told Olivia in TO that he bought Leah a ring but wanted to be sure that its really her before he gives it, that's why its convinient that he's going in a buisness trip but unfortunately something happened and so on and on and on. On the other hand, the time that Caleb and Leah is having the confession of their life regarding the lying and the hiding stuff, he told her that he bought the ring for Olivia!

With respect to what is in the box: I think that it is something that hasn't been discussed in the first two books. Since the first book is all about Olivia and her memory of their relationship and the third book is Caleb's POV; I think that it will be something that we will first learn about in the beginning of Caleb's book (a memory from the past)--Which leaves a lot of potential/new and exciting details from the past! :)
What about the fact that Caleb had a picture of that girl from college that he got pregnant...was it Jessica? Why did he keep a picture of her as a momento? Did he love her enough for her to be able to come back and steal him from everyone?
Guess he kept the picture because they were going to have a baby together. They might have been happy had the situation of her apportion never happened. Caleb seemed to be a family kinda man. Jessica made that decision for him, maybe it really wasn't what he would have wanted. It was his chance to have a family. Something like kinda sticks with you
I wonder too about Jessica. What her role in the whole series is... was it just to prove part of Olivia's wickedness? Or, will a complete circle be made and he ends up with her? I don't know how they'd end up together though after 10 years - wouldn't she be married? And she lives in NV? And, it appears Caleb forgave Olivia for her part in encouraging the abortion, so, if he had truly loved Jessica, wouldn't he have gone after her first instead of Olivia when he had amnesia if he wanted a fresh start? I am more worried about Jessica making an appearance more than Leah in the next book.
@Alisha - do you think C & O will end up together? I think they will at the expense of Noah. I think Noah will end up paying for all the deceit Leah, Caleb, and Olivia have inflicted on each other over all these years. I think he will save O's life that Leah sets up to try to take. And Caleb will be with Olivia, but live in his shadow and feel #2 in O's mind. I think it would be fitting in a way. He has never been #2. Or felt like he was being compared to anyone.
Kristin, No need for the Noah, sympathy. Did you know there is an entire group of fans who feel Noah is the real Opportunist? Reread end of TO and it's not hard to convince yourself they have a point. He barely knew her yet he talked her into letting Caleb go in Rome. He doesn't look good once you start reading him as The Opportunist. I was a big Noah fan and these girls convinced me. Once you read it thinking he's the real opportunist, you are free to hope for O & C and their HEA.
That is a good point and I have thought of that! But I read in one of the author's interviews that she says Noah's a good guy and he sees love differently; so I just thought his talking her out of getting Caleb was just his experience with love on a more mature level since he is older and trying to help her move on. I did think too - was it just a coincidence that they happened to be sitting next to each other? Or did he plan it? But, for what reason would he have for being the opportunist - like do you think there is some background with him we don't know about and he scheduled to be on that plane with her too? I just don't see how Olivia could get mad and break up with Noah if his only opportunist action was talking her out of going to Caleb - bc his explanation was rational at the time - Caleb is married and she could potentially be homewrecking!
I also think if this 3rd book doesn't end with them together - it is sort of evil of the author. Like, I feel like we got punched in the stomach by her two books with all their near misses and miscommunications; and if she really didn't want them together, it is cruel to drag it out over 3 books, just please have at least ended it in the 2nd.
Obviously I just read these books very recently for the 1st time - so I am still on a high and very chatty about them! lol It's just tragic :(
What I love about the name of the first ( all the names were very well choosen) was that every one were a little bit oppourtunist. Olivia for talking with Caleb when she tought he had anmesia, Caleb for using this situation (accident In the trip) to make olivia talk with him again, Leah for getting pregnant and then Caleb stayed with her (she knew he is very tradition about kids and family) and even Noah that used that time to know more Olivia.Just think Noah was more "correct" about the reason 'cause he gave a very good point,because the others took the situation in a bad way: Olivia knew Caleb was dating, Caleb was still dating Leah that time and Leah for obvious reason. I like Noah, but I think Caleb and Olivia belong together. Then deserve a happy end.

Here are my thoughts. I originally had no idea what was in the box but after reading all these theories I'm thinking it might be the penny. (though i pictured the box to be much larger) Caleb had the penny last. I'm assuming he got it when he went through the trash the maintenance guy had put out from cleaning Olivia's apartment (from when Caleb realizes Olivia has left after Leah runs her out of town). I can't remember but did Olivia have the penny before that and intentionally left it in the apartment or did she forget it there?
It took me a second to remember who Dobson was but I'm thinking he is definitely going to play a big part in the next book. There has to be a damn good reason why Olivia chose to defend a guy like him. She wouldn't have done it without a good reason. I like the theory that Olivia's reason has something to do with Caleb though I don't know what.
I definitely think Leah is telling the truth and isn't just trying to hurt Caleb's feelings... well she is trying to hurt Caleb's feelings but she's doing it with the truth rather than with lies. I think Seth is Estella's father and I think Seth might know it too. Honestly, when Leah told Caleb that he isn't the father, I wasn't as shocked as I could've been.
I feel like Leah is going to do her best to keep Caleb and Olivia apart. Courtney is probably going to play some part in the story though I'm not sure what because I thought she was so mentally damaged that she wasn't really responsive anymore. Maybe I'm just making things up.
Also, based on the teaser, I'm starting to think that maybe Caleb really was there under the tree at Olivia's wedding.
Every way I see it, Thief is set to be an EPIC conclusion to this story. Cammie's words are coming true, the Caleb and Olivia saga has begun again. The wait is driving me crazy.

I think there is a link between Dodson & Caleb. Why was he at the music store at the same time as Caleb? Is he trailing him? Was his first victim chosen because she dated Caleb? What or Who caused his accident? And, what is the significance behind the floral umbrella? I couldn't find any stuff on Caleb's bio-dad where he talked about him in TO. If he is his father, is that a reason for Olivia to represent Dodson? Atonement? When she met Dodson outside music store, she said he looked familiar. Was it because she remembered the wanted poster or was it something else?
Seth is the dad of Estella...definitely. And, I think he will want nothing to do with the baby if he even finds out that he is the father.
I believe when Tarryn says she's not going to spend anymore time on Leah that she means that she will not spend time redeeming her character. This does not mean, to me anyway, that she will not utilize Leah's skankiness to continue in her nefarious deeds against Olivia and Caleb in Book 3. DR's ending clearly reveals that Leah is far from giving up. Hard for me to believe, based on DR ending, that Leah will not be reckoned with in Book 3. Maybe Leah gets her just reward when her sister comes to live with her. Nothing like having someone mentally unstable down the hall from you. Maybe Courtney snuffs her out.....maybe Caleb & Olivia then raise Estella....Caleb adores that baby...Jus saying...
I think Noah is going to walk away from Olivia. "There is more to,loving someone that just to make you happy...You have to want him to be happier than you". This says it all to me.....And, this tells me that there will be a HEA for O & C. If not, I will never ever ever read another of Tarryn's books again...*wink*
